Liu Sang woke up from the soft tone of his partner's voice and Huo Dao Fu's natural volume about taking turns and something being gently placed near him if that is possible. Though, in their circle, there is only one person who gives an effort when it comes to sound around him. Only she can do something like that. Then a door closing, snapping him out from his thoughts and then silence. Silence? Why can't I hear any normal sound? The sound from the outside, the people talking nonsense, the sound of nature, her-their voices. Why? Confused, he carefully open his eyes and looked around when he noticed their room being covered to make any noise, out. "Amazing, isn't it? Bo Sying did this last night. She said that you were having a fit in your sleep." He looked at his left bedside to see their doctor checking his vital signs. "I was?" Huo Dao Fu smirked. "Your pulse seems to return to a normal pace. Well, to answer your question, yes. You were. She thought that maybe it was too loud around you that she gathered all the pillows that she can find and was not in use to make this room as sound-proof as she can. She made sure you get the sleep you needed, Liu Sang." The doctor explained as he took his seat and observe his patient. He has been doing that since the start of their quest.

Wu Er Bai told him to watch and observe the guardians. Their interactions with one another and their well-being. The same goes for the two youngest men in the team, of course. Since, this quest focus on the wood stone, Liu Sang's and Bo Sying's teamwork is being tested. And the stone has recognized its guardians, that's why Liu Sang was able to use its power during the lift to prove that point. He also thought of using his locket as their one-way ticket to get out of there. So, I can safely say that their connection is going great. Too great, if I'm going to emphasize it. His eyes speak so loud about his feelings for his partner and, at the same time, she to him. I hope this doesn't affect their way of thinking when the situation calls for it. He thought, sighing mentally, then asked. "How are you feeling?" "A bit light-headed and thirsty but fine." Liu Sang said as Huo Dao Fu gestured to him that there's a glass of water ready for him which he saw and drank, also noticing the plate of food beside it. So she was placing a plate of food beside me. "She prepared that for you. She watched over you the whole night. I forced her to get some rest since we will be having a discussion later about our next quest if you are up for it. Although, knowing that girl, she might be at our new friends' cabin, looking for information with the others. She's been saying, and proud, about the other skill she's been trying to use but failed in the past, only using it now. It's been a big help. She found a lot of hidden cameras and mics around that cabin before anyone can get inside the whole morning. I'm not sure if that's healthy but I have to use my authority as a doctor on her so she could rest. She's been having dizzy... Hey! You can't just move too fast or you-" At that, Liu Sang felt his surroundings spin when he felt hands over his shoulders gently pushing him down the bed. A new skill? Was it her seeing through to an object? Shit. She's pushing herself too much. Her brain can't handle too much use or she'll get sick instantly. "And now you worried." Huo Dao Fu said and sigh, getting him snapped out from his thoughts at the same time, he flinched from the pain over his wounds.

"Were you listening? Of course not." Their doctor mumbled as he carefully place pillows behind Liu Sang and sat back to his seat then continued. "I forced her to get some rest. She hasn't slept last night for watching you and she is injured as well. You were being hard yesterday too. You wouldn't let go of her hand. We tried anything so that you could let go and that would not aggravate Bo Sying's burnt hand. Good thing that she woke up and help us through the whole process of removing your grip to letting her switch her hands then being carried to this room with her still being held tight by you to treating you and her. She was conscious through all of that. She was able to get some shut-eye when your procedure was done that you let go of her hand that she collapsed. Black Glasses Ge carried her in the girls' room so that she can rest only to be awake in a couple of hours to eat dinner and then watch over you." I did that? Did I think that was a dream? Damn it. Liu Sang thought, blaming himself for causing so much pain to his partner and Huo Dao Fu noticed this. Most of his patients have this expression when they always thought that they are the ones causing pain and troubles which, on the contrary, was not. So, to ease his hearing patient and friend's worries, Huo Dao Fu called him and say with a reassuring smile, "Don't blame yourself. You were not aware of yourself. The only way to make it up is to make amends." Liu Sang pondered on his words and muttered an apology. "Well, eat your food before it gets cold. You can't let her efforts go to waste now, do you? I'll just check on her." Huo Dao Fu reminded and went out of his room.

As he grabs the plate where there's a bowl on top and carefully placed it over his lap, he looked at the dish Bo Sying prepared for him and started eating. Her porridge tastes like how my grandmother used to make it when I'm not feeling well. He smiled gently at that thought and continued eating when he heard the familiar voices of his friends entering his room which he smiled at the comforting noise, he is still annoyed by it. Here I thought that I'll have a peaceful time eating. He thought as they start mocking and teasing him like they always do, sighing. Then, covered his small smile by taking another bite and ignoring Pang Zi's and Black Glasses Ge's teasing. But, I would prefer this noise than  to an awkward silence.

~*~*~*~*~
It was late in the afternoon when Liu Sang was able to move around, take a bath and change his bandages, with the help of Huo Dao Fu and Jia Le, who is getting better at this, and get out of his room and went straight to the girls' shared room. When he was about to knock, Xiao Mei opened the door at the same time, taking them both by surprise. "Sang ge! What are you doing here? Are you okay moving around now?" Liu Sang flinched a little but smiled gently at the little girl who realized her high pitch voice and toned it down a bit and apologized softly. "I'm sorry Sang ge. I was taken by surprise." "It's alright Xiao Mei. I'm fine now, thanks for asking. Is your Sying jie there?" Liu Sang asked as he gently knelt at her level, minding his injuries. "She's still asleep. I'm just going to get something downstairs. If you want, you can watch over her while I'm gone. Oh. Don't worry about the others. They're all at the other cabin, looking for more info. So, I'll see you later, Sang ge. Bye." He wasn't able to stop the little girl from running away from him, smiling widely at him. Liu Sang sighed and shook his head. She doesn't need to hurry though. Silly girl. He thought as he went inside and closed the door behind him. Turning around, he saw Bo Sying's figure on the left side of the room and sat at the chair left beside it. He then checked her temperature, though he knew she doesn't have any fever. He needed to make sure. Knowing that she has been pushing herself too much can lead to health issues. He sighed in relief. Then he saw her right hand, covered in bandages. "Next time, don't be too reckless." He said softly as he tuck her hair away from her eyes when he saw her awake, taking him by surprise when Bo Sying smiled at him and say, "Then, don't make me worry too, Ah Sang."

Liu Sang smiled after getting back his senses, and answered, "I will, Xiao Sying."
