Helloooooo! Sory for the long wait you guys. My phone keeps getting taken away, I had a test on Monday, yesterday, one today and a final exam tomorrow. Or actually... in five hours. Crap. That's just this week. Still... not an excuse so I'll just let you guys get straight to it!

Enjoy :))

°°°°  MaTt's pov

Theya and I sat on Riley's bed watching as he made phone call after phone call to different covens around the US, getting the same answer over and over again. 'Sorry, we've never heard of it'

Theya sighed and let her head drop on my lap.

"It's all my fault. He's never getting his powers back, Matt."

Ridiculous. "If you hadn't stepped in, Riley would've died months ago from an overdose. Better alive and normal than a dead witch"

"Warlock" she replied automatically, but I could sense her calming down already.

"Same thing" I chimed, but the playfulness was gone. Riley had just collapsed next to us after hanging up.

He didn't say anything for a while, just sat there, covering his face with his hands.

Theya made a face and pushed up from her lying stance and lay next to Riley, using him as a pillow. I found Kaan and myself getting extremely annoyed with the thought, but it took less than a second to regain control over his emotions.

Juuuuuuust frieeeeeeends,I chanted inwardly.

"Nothing. Not one person in the whole fifty states can tell me what the fuck is going on. Not one book has a page 'bout it, not a spell to translate the Qyelsaed writing."

Kaan was also worried, but not necessarily about the wizard, but himself.

We have to talk to Theya alone, Matt. It's way more important than this boy's missing card tricks. Excuse yourself, grab her and go!

Although the idea sounded wonderful, I couldn't. Riley was Theya's sidekick and we were also partially responsible for what had happened.

You know she won't leave him right now, he's extremely volatile and she feels guilty.

So do you. And you know that it wasn't your fault.

So does she, and yet it's not stopping either of us, I replied and shut the connection with my wolf. Now isn't the time.

"I tried already. Nothing there. Matt?" I turned to see Riley and Theya looking at me expectantly.

"Huh?" Oh, Goddess. I'm acting like an inconsiderate prick.

  Riley grimaced.

"Can you feel the magic, maybe try a spell?"

"Try a spell? Me? Do magic? I don't even know what it's supposed to feel like. Magic was forbidden for the covens on my father's territories"

Theya got up and grabbed my hands, pulling me after her.

"Every time I assimilated, I felt a buzz, a thrill, some kind of small fire just waiting to explode. I could cast small spells like levitation, scry or locator. Fix stuff, heal people, grow plants. It's an incredible feeling. You don't feel anything?"

My first thought was 'For you, yes, a buzz? Hell, no', but after a millisecond of considering it, I decided to actually try to dig deeper.

I tried to imagine my deepest self, my soul combined with Kaan's, my senses and gifts. I was tired, slightly scared and worried about Theya and my new responsibilities, and there was It's darke spot, but otherwise everything was completely normal.
