"Oh, you're awake!" I heard someone speak, so I opened my eyes. There stood a woman, in a neat, formal dress. "My name is Maggie. I drove you to work yesterday, and helped you recover from your panic attack yesterday. I'm afraid I didn't really know what to do, or where you lived, so I brung you back to Mr Togami's house."
"W-where am I right now?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
"Mr Togami's bed, Makoto. He's already gone downstairs for breakfast. I found your mother through the phone book and called her to tell you where you are, she said that, um, she was too busy to get you and your father was too drunk to drive."
My heart sank again. "Yeah, that's what I expect of them both. Oh, I'm out of my normal clothes?" I looked down at myself, I was in some boxers and that was it.
"Oh, Mr Togami suggested that we cool you down the best we can. You were burning hot when we looked after you, last night. You were barely conscious. He must have got you changed."
"Have I got anything to change into? Are my clothes anywhere nearby?"
"Your clothes have been washed and are now drying. However, Mr Togami has given you a set of clothes that are too small for him, so if you would like, please feel free to wear them. They are on the armchair in the corner." I looked up, and there was a pile of clothes just like she said.
"Thank you, Maggie. May I get up and get dressed quickly? I don't feel exactly comfortable right now in just...boxers."
"Of course Makoto. Come downstairs whenever you feel like it. I'll only be a buzz away, just press that button to your left if you need anything or any help." She then bowed then left the room.
I got into a starfish position then just sighed, staring at the ceiling. "Well shit." I muttered, before getting out of bed and walking over to the armchair. The room was spacious, the bed was like 3 double beds put together, much bigger than my single bed. Everything looked so tidy and clean, I was scared to touch anything; walk on this priceless rug even.
I looked at my clothing options. There were just a couple pairs of jeans, trousers to sleep in, oversized t-shirts, slippers and a hoodie. Weren't giving hoodies to someone a romantic gesture? I read lots of romance, and this always comes into the picture.
I slipped on some pj trousers, bunny slippers and an oversized white t-shirt. I felt like I was wearing my dad's stuff. However, his shirts would be less tall, and more round. If that makes any sense. For safe measures, I wrapped the grey hoodie round my waist, then headed out my room.
When I opened the door, the walls hit me. They were red, but a nice kind of red which read 'rich'. As you walked down the corridor, there was a vast painting of, what looked like, Byakuya and his father; Byakuya looked as moody as ever. I turned right and there were the white marble stairs, which I carefully walked down, yawning halfway down.
"Makoto?" I heard a voice speak, so I looked down at the bottom. There he was.
Byakuya Togami.
"Hey." I moaned out, yawning again.
"I'll just assume that you needed those 12 hours of sleep, Makoto." Byakuya smiled, and my eyes were suddenly wide.
"Isn't it Tuesday? We need to get to school-"
"They already know what happened. You've got until Thursday to get better."
"Well, what happened to me? I don't remember too much."
"Well, to start off, you had a panic attack. You suddenly ran away from the book shop and started sprinting down the town's roads. I don't know where you were going, to be honest, but you were on a roll! However, as I caught up to you, with Maggie, you were so tired and breathless and hot, that you just kind of fell and you threw up. And, as we all know, you can't go to school for 2 days if you're sick. And so, after realising how bummy your parents are, I'd like you to stay here until you're better, to make sure you're okay."
"Why do you even care about me? You only met me yesterday."
"Good question. I think it's because you're a decent guy, and also you've been nothing but nice to me. So I'd like to help."
"But that doesn't mean that you have to bring me to your house!"
"Alright, but as long as you're okay and in my sight I won't worry. Come and have breakfast, my dad's out so Maggie was able to cook breakfast without half of it being eaten in the first 10 minutes."
He reached his hand out to me, so I blushed then took it, so he led me to his kitchen. Marble was pretty much impossible to not look at, it looked so expensive it was disgusting. The barstools looked so comfy that you'd melt into them, and the aroma was heavenly.
I looked to the dining room, a polished wooden table was there, 3 chairs on each side and one on each end. Then, there was the breakfast feast. Full of fruits, pancakes, cereal, milk, cookies, etc. Byakuya walked in like he'd seen this sight many times before. So I followed, wondering if I should sit next to him or across from him.
"This way, sir." I heard Maggie speak, and she walked me over to the seat across from him, pulling the seat out for me.
"Oh, um, thank you." I stuttered, sitting as she pushed me in. I surveyed the table once more, mouth watering at the fruits and pancakes.
"Let me help you." Byakuya spoke, putting 4 pancakes on my plate, pouring maple syrup over them before placing various rich fruits onto them. "You've not eaten for 13 hours, Makoto, or more, and I can't let you go hungry, now can I?"
I shook my head. "I guess not."
"Maggie, please make my bed. I'd like to talk to Makoto alone." Then, following Byakuya's orders, Maggie bowed, then strutted off. After speaking, his head was turned, though his eyes were still on my red face. A man who can give me food and save me from panic attacks? Sounds like a dream.
"I don't mean to be a burden, if I am." I choked up, starting to eat.
"A burden? I wouldn't let you in if you were a burden. Plus, my fathers out. No ones going to tell you off for sleeping with me." I coughed.
"Sleeping with you? Isn't there a spare room? I saw, like, 4 rooms which might contain a guest room!"
"Yes, you're sleeping with me. No buts." He ignored me, digging into his breakfast.
I did the same, bright red. Was this how it was going to be for the next 2 days? Or even more if Mr Rich wants to torture my brain some more.
