We then went back to the office so I could get a locker assigned, luckily it was a few down from Dylan and Lucy was across the hall. They came with me to my locker and I threw my clothes in my bag and grabbed a binder, note book, pencil and schedule. Then together we took the long way to get to class so they could show me around the school.
"That's the science room, you have that with me for last period,"
Lucy said sounding giddy.
"That's the German room, I have that with you second period which is almost here, we should probably get to class."
Dylan said.I was already loving this school. I had two new friends already. I was still kind of quite but they didn't seem to mind. Seeing how it was my first day they probably though I was letting it all sink in, I was fine though, I just didn't want to say anything to screw up. We didn't talk much the way to class so I could look at the school. It was beautiful, high arched ceilings that were lined with large glass windows sometimes otherwise wood, mahogany floors. It was beautiful, along with the people. I haven't seen anyone un-attractive yet, so I felt like I stuck out again. When we finally got there Lucy started banging the door hard. Like really hard, and kicking it too. She's a door abuser I guess. I started laughing at the thought. They both turned and looked at me.
"What?"
Lucy said.
"I'm sorry you look like you are really angry at the door. Isn't it open?"
She then turned the handle and it opened.
"Did you know it was open?"
"Yes I did, but I wanted to rebel against math."
It didn't make any sense to me so I gave Dylan a confused but he shugged his sholders and walked in, me following.
"THE FREAKING QUEEN HAS ARRIVED MY SLAVES."
Lucy yelled at the top of her lungs when we walked in.
"Miss. Meyer will you pl-"
"I AM YOUR QUEEN< AND I WOULD LIKE YOU ALL TO MEET SHAI AND DYLAN EVEN THOUGH DYLAN HAS BEEN HERE ALL YEAR I WOULD LIKE TO PRESENT THEM TOGETHER."
She then walked over and took a seat in the back and made a paper airplane out of her pass and threw is at the poor, math teacher in his bow tie and glasses. Dylan and I handed our passes to him and we took a seat in the back by Lucy.
"NIce for you to join us Miss.Niles, I see you have already made some friends, I just pray you don't turn into them.
"HMPH, right here Mr.Baker."
Lucy said sounding annoyed.
"I know that Lucy, now let's begin."
I didn't here much after that because I sat there dazing at nothing, turns out I really wasn't used to the time change yet.
"Miss. Niles, what is is 3(4x+19x)-17/3. Miss. Niles?"
"Shai wake up,"
I heard Dylan say. I lifted my head and said just let me sleep, still half out of it.
"Shai, you really have to get up, he asked you a question,"
"Well Mr.Smith, seeing how you have so much to say you can answer and explain the rules to Miss. Niles after class."
I went back to sleep not knowing what was happening and was awoken when the bell rang by Dylan shaking my shoulders.
"Go away,"
I said. Lucy the slapped me and I woke up.
"Ow, what was that for?"
"Well you weren't waking up so, ya that happened."
I looked down at my blank wet page where I was supposed to be taking notes. I must have been drooling. Great, make that two embarrassments in one day in front of my only friends.Wow. Lucy said goodbye to us because she had some other class next, but Dylan and I walked to German together.
"You really need to pay attention, Mr.Baker let you off of the hook this time because he knows you are still getting used to the time change. I did the same thing, Lucy slapped me too."
"I'm sorry"
"It's fine just don't fall asleep in German."
I did, and I ended up getting a detention after school. To keep myself from falling asleep I tapped my pencil between my fingers the whole rest of the class and took some basic notes. Next I had lunch, which was pretty cool, I got to learn more about Lucy and Dylan. The whole rest of the day ended up going the same way the morning did. When the final bell rang, I exchanged numbers with Dylan and Lucy and made my way to the German room for detention.
