Everything was white again. The land of his dreams and terrors had caught up to him, it seemed. White that symbolized purity, hope, cleansing triggered the deepest, darkest thoughts in his mind from the pits of despair, heartache, and sorrow.

What were those again?

Feelings, his mind answered harmlessly.

Ah, yes, feelings, a blessing and a curse, a hindrance and a help, a refined, sharpened sword with no hilt. Thoughts ran wild when nothing changed, when all he could see was the blinding white, a call to death, to silence, a halt to all peace.

And just then, in his world, all motion resumed.

A man in plain blue clothing and curly black hair walked in, following the girl. She was kind, he suddenly remembered, God he needed to stop the random information spilling into his mind at random times of the day.

He turned whatever degrees of head he could to the man, something about "new arrival" passing across the few holes in the thick glass. "Ah, I'm sorry, we don't usually get new arrivals," the woman giggled, in a seemingly kind manner.

Said new interest turned his head to him. His eyes flashed with so much knowing, understanding, it was petrifying. His glance was ghostly, kind at the same time. He seemed to have been through the world at this point.

The woman's face was unreadable at that point, brows furrowing yet not suggesting anger. "Karma," she spoke, barely above a whisper, yet the redhead craning his head read her lips. The man gave him a long look, haunting yet peaceful at the same time.

The girl he was following obviously needed him to walk to his "room" right that minute, a nervous expression on her face, pulling on his arm, smiling kindly to Karma, the moment quite awkward.

"Interesting...." The man said in his hauntingly low voice before leaving.

The pain came back to him a hundredfold, though the only thought in his mind was:

Interesting indeed.

GAKUSHUU'S EYES cracked open quickly, met with a blurry image of the redhead's balled-up figure under the duvet. He took a few deep breaths, met with silence. Why did he wake up, again? A wave of pain suddenly coursed through his veins, searing.

His eyesight was clearer now, he thought as he sat up and loomed over Karma. Taking a closer look, his eyes were closed, squinted tightly, he was shivering, a stray water droplet dropping from his left eye.

Was he crying?

A heartbreaking whimper, soft and shaking, brought him back. He needed to wake the other from whatever nightmare he was having. He wrapped his arms around the crying redhead- he was definitely going to tease him about that- not realizing he was hugging him.

He shook Karma's shoulder vigorously, trying to wake him. The latter groaned, squinting his eyes farther. "Karma. Karma. Karma." He whisper-shouted into the redhead's ear. "Karma. Karma! KARMA!" The last one he said out loud.

The other finally woke...
