"I can't understand how anyone could do something that terrible!" Michael had never seen Luke so sad. A man named Pete Martel had found a girl on the beach naked and wrapped in plastic. An FBI special agent had come to this town, trying to solve the mystery behind the murder. He was from Philadelphia and was probably the perfect man anyone could imagine. His name was Dale Cooper. Dale and the sheriff asked everyone if they knew something about the murder, but the sheriff would probably give up.

It was a long silence. "You're both sure you don't know anything about the murder?" Dale was looking straight at them both. "If I knew what happened to my girlfriend I would say it!" Luke almost yelled at them. "I understand, you can go now." Luke was heartbroken and depressed, the only girl he had ever truly loved had been murdered.

"We have to find out who killed her!" "Of course, but I don't understand how anyone in this town could do something like this." Sheriff Truman had been thinking a lot about the murder and he couldn't think of anyone that could've done something like this. "It's hard to understand, but you can't read people's minds"

"He's not eating and he won't talk to us!" Calum was desperate. "I don't know if there's anything I can do to help, he just need some time alone," Bobby didn't actually like Luke a lot. He always wanted Luke to quit the band, so he could be the lead singer, but no one knew about that. "You're probably right, thanks for being such a good friend," Calum blinked. They were walking down the halls at the High School. "Calum!" It was Donna. Calum's girlfriend and Laura's best friend. He gave Calum a big hug and smiled at him. "What is it?" "There's something I need to tell you" He tried to say it, but he couldn't. "Tell me" she shouted. "Laura Palmer..." "What?" "Laura Palmer...is...dead" "What? Is this true Bobby?" "I'm sorry" She was screaming, crying and she just felled down on her knees with her head in her hands. "Donna! Donna please! I'm so sorry!" People were staring at them and they didn't understand anything, but suddenly people started to scream and cry without any reason. Everyone cried except for Calum, he just ran away.
