Tempremental disaster

What the fuck?

I sat and observed the zoo around me. Students queuing for food like prisoners; teachers watching like hawks. Our little table was more crowded than usual. We were able to grace the presence of Laurens latest boyfriend. Then there was Josh was sat  to the left of me, picking away at his chips. 

''So josh...'' 

I muttered, loud enough for him to hear over the voices surrounding us.

''you don't talk much do you?'' I stated.

''Got nothing to say I guess, its not easy being new, so I just stay quiet'' I gave him a reassuring smile and he returned it.

''Well, if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm aways free'' 

He looked stunned for a few moments before scowling at me. 

''I'm good, I don't need you. I only sat with you to pass time'' He spat.

He rose from his seat and stalked away like he was the centre of the universe. I stared in his direction, unable to move from genuine shock. Did he really just say that?

Summers fingers snapped in front of my face and I escaped from my trance. I turned to see her sat at the side of me smiling. I had never really spoke to summer much, apart from the odd 'hello'. She always looked stunning though. She had a thing for casual dresses, and always looked... summery? weird.

''mind if I sit here? Laurens all loved up'' She said, rolling her eyes. 

I turned to see Lauren and harry being all cute on the other side of the table. Alex was at the side of them with her headphones in, loud enough for everyone else to hear too. 

''I don't get how she does it. I've yet to find a guy that isn't attracted to her in some way.'' I said. 

Before she had the chance to reply, the bell went for our next lesson. We all stood up, fumbling around for bags as we did. As we started to walk to the maths rooms, summer tapped me and whispered,

''you may want to turn around'' 

I did as she said to see Josh rushing up the corridor behind us. I quickly turned back around and picked up my pace. I was in no mood for another remark like his last. 

''LOLA!'' he shouted after me. I stopped dead in my tracks as he placed a hand on my shoulder.

''What do you want Josh?'' I huffed. I was annoyed that I let him catch up to me to be honest. 

''I was out of order back there, I don't know where that came from. I'm so sorry'' He pleaded. I shrugged and walked into the room behind us, only to find that he was in this class as well. 

I don't understand some people....
