Chapter 7

Sujoy's POV

I was going out while holding everything in one hand trying to take out my phone from my pocket when I collided with someone.

I cursed under my breath and was about to scold the person, I bumped into... As one of the packs, I was holding slipped out of my hand. Thank god I managed to catch it before it could touch the floor.

The phone was ringing even now,  I didn't want the cake I bought for Sia to get damaged.

" What the hell!! Can't you see?? " I said without looking at the person who collided with me.

" Oh, I am so sorry! I was in a  hurry. Please accept my apology. " I heard a beautiful voice almost as sweet as the cake, I had just tasted.

I looked at the owner of the voice and was pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful woman standing in front of me, apologizing sweetly.

She was about 5'5" in height, had beautiful wavy hair, till the middle of her back. She was looking at my hands with her big beautiful black orbs and apologized with her pink and plump lips.

Though she was not wearing any makeup, still looked as fresh as a dewdrop. Her natural and subtle vanilla fragrance was tantalizing me.

I kept looking at her for a few seconds and then realised that she was talking to me. I looked at her plump kissable lips.

Oh !! How I wanted to kiss those lips...

" Are you alright?? Did I damage anything? Please check, I will get it replaced. I am really sorry, I was in a hurry..."  She said looking at the cake in my hand.

" No, please don't apologise, In fact, I am sorry for shouting at you like this. I was concerned about the cake, I got for my sister. But everything is fine, I held it immediately, so it is safe. " I said smiling at her.

She placed her bag on the counter and turned to look at me. She nodded and smiled apologetically.

I almost forgot everything and could hear violin playing in the background.

I flashed my best smile at her.

She looked a bit startled to see me and was looking at me with a weird expression on her face. Her big eyes became even bigger as if she was trying to recognise me but was not sure.

"  Oh, great! Have a good day. "  She said and vanished through a door behind the counter before I could complete my next sentence.

" Hi, I am Suj... "

What happened?? She didn't even react to my smile??

I kept standing, looking at the door she vanished behind.

The phone started ringing again, I looked at the screen, it was Viraj. I took the call and came out of the bakery.

" Hi, Viraj! "

" Hello, how are you?? "

" Miserable ! "

" Why?? " He asked.

" Mom is giving me a very tough time.  She is really after me to get settled down and has been making me meet girls for the last two days. "

" Great !! She must do that! It's high time you settle down. Ok, I think, if you are free in the evening, do you want to meet Srusti? "

" Yeah!! That's fine with me. "  I said holding the phone between my shoulder and my ear. I opened the door of my car and placed everything into it.

" Very well, I will text you the address, you can pick her from her workplace so that you get to know her more. "  Viraj said

" Hmm... Good idea. I will be there. "

" Sujoy, just remember to behave well. Don't flirt too much. "

" Don't worry, I will behave myself,  as if she is your family, so indirectly mine too. "

" You better stick to it or Maya would kill me. Be there by six in the evening."

" Sure! Bye and rest assured, I will be on my best behaviour. "  I said with a smile.

" Bye !! "

I reached my office and sent someone to Kapoor Mansion to deliver the cake for my princess, Sia.

Even though I was trying my level best to concentrate on the laptop in front of me,  but a certain beautiful face kept coming into my mind.

I could still remember everything so clearly. The way she collided with me and then apologized and got startled. But why?

Anyway, I started working and was lost in it as I was a workaholic. I made a surprise visit to a few stores of mine and came back to make more strategies to increase our sales even more.

It was evening and I had to go on a dinner date with Srusti. Viraj had sent me the address. So I drove there.

It was an office of a famous fashion designer. I had never met him but knew that he was very famous.

I went in and asked for Ms Srusti. Just then my phone rang again, it was my PA. I picked up the call and was talking to her when all of a sudden someone bumped into me as she was running looking backwards as if someone was following her.

What was happening?? Why were girls bumping into me today??  I grinned at that thought.

Anyways, good for me...

She would have fallen but I caught her in time. She apologized for her clumsiness.

I was still talking on the phone hence I didn't realise that I was still holding her arm. I just nodded at the girl politely and ended the call.

Just then a very good looking man came and pulled her away from me and said," Hi, I am Mohit Paul, may I help you?? "

" Hi, I am Sujoy Khanna. I am here to meet Ms Srusti Mehra." I said with a polite smile and the polite smile on his face vanished instantly.

What happened to him all of a sudden? He looked angry as hell as if he might kill me.

" There is no one known as Ms Mehra here. " He said rudely to me.

"  But my cousin, Viraj told me about her, he gave me this address. "  I said.

" Viraj is.... " he was about to say something but a sweet voice interrupted him.

" Sujoy??? What a pleasant surprise!! What are you doing here?" I turned towards the voice and saw Manyata coming towards us. I was surprised to see her.

What a day!  I have been meeting beautiful girls since morning.

Though this one was off limits to me. She was my best friend's wife and a good friend of mine.
