That night Daisy explained that she'd be going to sleep early."Alright" He said and placed a quick peck on her forehead.
Daisy walked over to the mirror that was in their room and stared at herself.
She frowned as she stared at her face.
Had she always been this ugly?
Had her nose always been that big?
She frowned as she slipped into her night gown.
"Hey uh sweetheart?" Matthew called
"Yeah?" She replied
"Where's the ink?"
"Here" She said as she handed him the ink that was on the dresser.
"Thanks" he smiled
"I'm going for a walk"She nodded and slipped into bed.
Next morning, Matthew was not there.
Daisy wondered if he'd gone to work but it was a Sunday.. Where did he go?
She shook off the weird feeling and got up from bed.
Maybe a walk would do me good.. She thought
So she put on clothes then headed to brush her teeth then afterwards she started on her walk. It was a warm morning and the sun was shining brightly.
Daisy took in a deep breath before releasing it and taking in her surroundings.
She walked back home and still Matthew had not come back. Where could he be?
Daisy was starting to worry now. She started making her way to Peter's house but he wasn't there, so she headed to Mary's house, he wasn't there.
She visited the church then two more places before deciding she'd go to Madeline's house.
Once she arrived, she knocked on the door but there was no answer.
She knocked again, but still no answer. What if I just..
Daisy thought as she reached towards the door handle and opened the door.Daisy had been in Madeline's house once and that was when she got invited to dinner.
There were three doors infront of her after moving past the kitchen.
She opened the first, and there was the bathroom. She opened the second, and there was an empty bedroom with nobody in it.
When she opened the third door, she saw two figures on the bed.
Carefully, Daisy approached the figures only to realize it was Matthew laying in the bed with Madeline, who was only in her underwear, topless.
