Meanwhile, Val was down at the Country Corral Hair Salon with Holly Darlin'.
Holly: Hey, Val, you tried one of them new Bubble-Foam Smoothies?
Val: Yeah. Are they supposed to have a minty plum flavor?
Holly: I think so. I heard that's what makes 'em so plum good!
Both girls shared a good laugh over that pun until Val remembered something.
Val: I heard Synth talking with Laguna about her birthday tomorrow.
Holly: (gasp) Laguna's birthday? Tomorrow?!
Holly then told Gust and Dante about this over lunch at Classical Crest, leading to Gust telling Lownote Jones over a game of Truth or Tribulation, Lownote telling Cooper, Cooper telling Biggie, and Poppy finally getting the news from... Mr. Dinkles.
As expected, Queen Poppy wasted no time in making a mini-announcement about it.
Poppy: Since this is Laguna's very first birthday in TrollsTopia, the celebration for it has gotta be extra special.
Background Troll: You mean like a surprise party?
Poppy: Yes! Perfect! Now, Dante and Lownote will handle the cake.
Lownote: We're on it, baby.
Dante: Indeed.
Poppy: Val, Holly, you're both on decorations.
Val: Eh, sure.
Holly: Woohoo!
Poppy: R&B, think you two can keep Laguna busy?
R&B: Yes to the S, we can!
Poppy: Okay then. Meet me tomorrow at the Pop Troll Library- where the party will be held- and remember, Laguna can not find out about this!
After the announcement, R&B decided to get a little head start on what they had in store for the party- a laser light show. However, they were having some trouble deciding on which colors to use when suddenly, Branch walked up to them.
Branch: R, B, have you two seen Synth?
Rhythm: Sorry, Branch, but we've been too busy settin' up these laser-lights for Laguna's surprise party.
Blues: But we can't decide on which colors to use.
Rhythm: Hold up! Synth's known Laguna longer than any of us, right?
Blues: So he'd for sure know her fave colors!
Both Girls: And more!
Blues rummaged through some of her and Rhythm's gadgets before pulling out an earpiece and putting it on one of Branch's ears.
Blues: You ask Synth the questions and report the answers to us through that.
Branch knew that the twins' mind(s) were already made up, so there was no use in protesting (he had been made to do worse, anyway). Instead, he simply continued his search for Synth.
