The knocking stopped completely now, The silence fell upon the room like a blanket covering a bed, welcoming and comforting they all looked at each other but slowly afraid that even just their eyes moving would make noise, but just as quickly as that comfort came it disappeared only by the rattling of the doorknob right before a giant bang that bent the door slightly, that quickly snapped the attention of Jayce and his father, but before they gave it a second thought, Jayce's dad grabs Aurora and Jayce grabs Allannia putting her on his back as he takes Vita's hand and they all bolt out the broken window right before the door burst into pieces. Vita felt a small, warm feeling as Soon as Jayce grabbed her hand, but that thought quickly changed when the door burst into pieces. The robe figures ran in and quickly started enchanting what seemed like battle magic, they stood next to each other but Just as they finished Chanting, a bright light burst through the broken windows and opened the bedroom door blinding the robbed figure breaking the spell. The robed figures began rummaging through what was left of the bedroom almost frantically as if they were on a time schedule, but then they heard footsteps come towards the bedroom, the two robed figures turned around and looked at each other. One of the figures spoke, and it sounded almost muffled from how far Jayce's dad was hiding. His quick thinking gave them enough time to hide in the nearby woods.
"The books not here and by the looks of it they might have used the Unbinding spell on him," the muffled voice said but when they heard the heavy footsteps that sent small waves of chills up anyone's spine, they turned nervously as a tall figure black silhouette came into view from within the cloud of debris and darkening day. When the figure stepped through the door, he had a red mask that covered the entirety of his face. The mask resembled a traditional Japanese Oni mask. Where a normal mouth should be, there are fangs protruding from the lips. Up towards the forehead, horns came out as if it was the devil himself. He stood there at the door silent watching the scene taking in the broken doors, windows, and furniture, the silence was broken by a robed figure, his words still muffled, "sir the book isn't anywhere, we have looked under everything, and around the house but nothing", The man with the mask looked down at the figure and in a deep almost demonic voice spoke, "then look harder" as he finished speaking it almost sounded like it ended in a low deep growl.
"We need to move slow and quiet, I think it's time we disappear for a while" Jayce's dad whispers low looking at his wife and nodding then looking up at Jayce, " it's time we go back home," he said before taking the lead with Jayce's mom, "we can't go back home that's the first place they will search," Jayce said with a little panic in his voice although he was forcing himself to whisper. Allannia finally began to stir, Jayce's dad noticed and stopped walking, "let's take a minute here, me and your mom are going to prepare to move us to our real home but we need Allannia to be awake for this," he said stretching a bit before squatting down next to his wife. Jayce put Allannia down gently before standing and stretching, rolling his shoulders before looking at Vita but her back was to him, he gently touched her shoulder squeezing it lightly, she jumped slightly but that warm feeling came back to her when she saw it was him, she quietly nodded, they had never seen Vita so quiet before but after everything that just happened they where all shaken up.
Aurora and her husband made a pentagram in the dirt around them big enough for all 5 of them to fit in it. " Alright everyone come quickly and quietly, the moment this portal opens they will know we were here" his dad explains as he grabs his wife's hand, " now everyone in and hold hands," he says as they all piled into the pentagram holding hands, although Vita wasn't a fan of holding Alliannas hand she also realized she couldn't complain and ask to switch so she can hold Jayces hand, so she gritted her teeth and held hands completing the circle. Once everyone was in place, Jayce's parents began chanting in Latin, the circle slowly beginning to glow, and the air around them seem to pick up but only where they were standing, all of a sudden everything became white almost like someone flashed a flashlight in their face, suddenly a loud voice came from behind Jayce, "Stop them!"
