The room was in chaos Allannia was on the floor with glass shattered all around her, Aurora was up against the wall with the table broken under her the plants that once decorated the wooden cabinet that took her months to make now became the cushion that stopped her body from going through the wall. Everything kept coming in and out of focus as Jayce slowly began to try and get up, he noticed the Fox girl and his mom's body right away, he was struggling to see where his dad was standing and what has happened to Vita, his head was pounding as if monkeys stood on either side of his temples and banged away to a terrible rhythm, he stammered like a drunk man as he was finally getting up and his vision was not so blurred anymore, the bright sun rained in through the now broken glass door where Allannia is laying, he began to look around, he was able to find his dad who seemed to be out of breath, the book of spells on the floor upside down, the pages kissing the floor.
The entire room was a complete mess, everything started to become clearer as Jayce regained his focus, steadying himself he managed to finally find Vita, he walked up to his dad still staggering a little bit more like someone getting out of a deep sleep, he tapped his dad's shoulder, his dad put his arm on his son's arm a confirmation that it all was a success, with that quiet response his dad walked to Aurora and Jayce walked to vita who was still standing but she looked like she woke up as well from a deep sleep. He placed his hand on her shoulder and she wanted to punch him but she was just happy to see that Jayce came out of it safe, and to both of their surprise they hugged each other, just for a moment they were just glad everything came out ok, just as quickly as they hugged each other they backed away, more like Vita slightly pushed away " you idiot why do you always have to go and do something so stupid" she says trying to yell but her throat was so dry, she gave up and slowly walked to the kitchen to get water, Jayce went to Allannia she still wasn't moving but he could see her chest rise and fall, when he got close to her he took her hand gently before taking her body into his lap, he moved her white hair out of her face, his parents walked to him and Allannia, Vita wasn't far behind with several water bottles, handing them out. "well what do we do now, did it even work?" she asked looking around at everyone before setting her gaze on Jayce, "I remember at the ceremony everyone had shocked faces me and Vita hatched Dragons, and I remember my friends Marcus and Karma" he said before looking back at Allannia " and I of course remember the hyperactive fox that always followed me around because of the giant crush she had on me" he finished with a small smile that only grew wider as he saw Allannia open her eyes.
She smile saying in a raspy hoarse voice "what you mean had you goof I still do" she finished with a really dry laugh, before they went on Jayce gave Allannia water, once everyone was finally a bit recovered and standing Aurora broke the long silence with the question " So what will happen next, no one from the council was here to vote, nor to break the spell, didn't we need someone higher up in the council to do the spell, and how are we telling them the story on how we ended up with the book, to begin with." She finished saying as she walked up to her husband and hugged him. Silence fell on the room again as they stood quiet taking in what his mom had just said, but just as soon as the silence fell Jayce broke it this time "Th-The attack at the cabin and the council members they were all there that's how we are going the save us from all this, the approval was already given wasn't it?" he stopped for a second putting his hand to his head " the only reason the council will ever have shown up was because the approval came from the council and they even gave you the book right!" he exclaimed looking at his parents with hope in his eyes and just as his eyes were about to lose that hope his dad spoke up " your right someone from the council came up to me gave me the book, they said that Elros gave the approval, I looked down at the book and as I was looking up the guy was walking towards the sofa were the other councilmen where then, well then you know the rest" and just as he was finishing his last words a knock on the door echoed through the broken room, this time the silence wasn't broken by words but by terror that rang through there ear, the sound wasn't like a loud drum banging, or as if someone was trying to break in, the sound echoed like a soft drum beating and somehow the beat sounds like your own heart stopping and then beating once again. More silence and once again the knock rang through the room, this time the rhythm had picked up, or was it just everyone hearing their heartbeat once again.
