Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke. Poke

“Hey Basil”

Just pretend that I am sleeping.

“Basil” poke

Keep pretending.

“Hey hey hey hey bassiiiiilllllllllll”

Why can’t this idiot take a hint?

“I just saw you move!”

Yay. Want a biscuit? Moron.

“C’mon get up!!”

Please leave.

“She’s not waking up. I’m trying!”

Well stop trying and let me sleep!

“Try harder idiot!”

Wait I know that voice. Oh my gosh Taylor!

I immediately shot up from bed and ran to jump on Taylor, kicking Pierce in the face on the way.

“Oh my gosh! You’re here! I’ve missed you” I said while struggling to not fall off of Taylor.

She chuckled. “I’ve missed you too Basil! I didn’t have anyone to annoy on the plane ride back here”

I laughed “Meanie”

“Nuh –uh I’m the best sister ever” she grinned.

Taylor is my 18 year old sister.  She has dirty blonde hair with dark green eyes.  She has a slim body, with curves in all the right places. She always has every boy’s attention while I never did. Yes my sister was beautiful and was I jealous of her? Maybe. She was the captain of the cheerleading team and she had perfect grades. She wasn’t like those mean fake bitchy popular girls, no she was the nicest sweetest person you’ve ever met. Everyone loved her and admired her. While I too had dark green eyes and dirty blonde hair, I had no huge breasts or big ass, I was skinny.  I was super clumsy and I never had perfect grades. I’m not good at anything except volleyball. I used to be popular like my sister but everything went downhill when the bad thing happened. Now I’m a freak with no friends. And well I haven’t had any luck with boys.

Oh and did I mention my sister has a boyfriend?

Yay.

“Hey guys?” Pierce said while rubbing his forehead.

“Yeah?” Taylor and I both said.

“I’d love to stay and chat but I’m really hungry and I would love to put some ice on my forehead” he glared at me before continuing. “But can you guys hurry up I want ihop”

My eyes lit up. I haven’t been to iHop in years. The last time I went to ihop was the day I left. I started to feel the same feeling I get when I thought about the ‘bad thing’. I took a deep breath and counted to three.

“Well I’m going to shower and get dressed” Taylor said as she put me down and walked out. I went over to my phone to charge it.

“Basil?” I turned around.

“Yeah?”

Taylor walked back in my room and hugged me and I hugged her back.

“I’m glad you’re better” she whispered in my ear. With that she let go of me before giving me a smile and walking out.  I stood there unable to move.

I thought I was getting better but all the memories and pain I kept hidden away deep inside of me is coming back. And I don’t know if I can take it again.
