It was finally fifth period! Yes! I think I've never been so hungry in my life but I have to go to my locker first so poo. I walked to my locker, put in my combination and opened. I put my bag in it and opened. I started to look for my lunch money when I heard a rattling sound coming from inside my bag. I don't remember putting anything like that in my bag, weird. I finally found what was making that sound and sighed. They were my anti-depressant pills with a post-it stuck to them. It said 'Honey I know that you're probably tired of taking these things but your doctor sent me the prescription for them yesterday and told me that you need to take one every day before you eat. She also said it's really important that you do. Please don't throw them out like you did the last time, I want you to get better I love you with all my heart baby x' I really hate taking these but whatever. I found my lunch money and put it in my back pocket. I took out my trig textbook and placed it in my locker. I grabbed my bag and closed my locker. I started heading towards the bathroom when I heard crying coming from the janitors closet. I stopped to listen but it stopped. I shrugged, probably my imagination. I started walking again but I heard it again. What the hell? I heard a bang and more crying. I quickly walked back to the front of the janitor's closet. I put my ear on the door and listened.
"Jack please" the girl cried.
"What? So you can leave me for that other guy? Hell no! You're mine!" how can know one hear him? He's freaking yelling! I looked around, oh yeah no one's around.
"No Jack I don't like you anymore! I don't want to be with you!"
I heard a slap and shoving. "Don't you ever (kick) fucking (kick) say that!"
"Jack" she whispered. "Please stop"
"You worth-"and that's when I had enough. I kicked open the door and pushed the him as hard as I can. I turned towards the girl and I gasped. She was lying in her own pool of blood, crying.
The guy started to get up. "You fucking-"
I punched him right in the jaw. "No you fucking asshole! What kind of person beats a girl? Only sick bastards like you!" I bent down and grabbed the girl by her shoulders. "I'm gonna get you out of here don't worry okay?" the girl nodded her head and layed back down.
"Don't touch her!" the so called Jack yelled. He tried to grab her but I kneed him in the balls.
"And that's for beating her you heartless bastard!" I quickly helped the girl up and quickly walked to the bathroom. When we made it, I locked the door so no one would come in. I dropped my bag on the ground and turned to the girl.
"He's not going to get you in here okay" I brushed back the hair that fell on her face.
She cried even harder. "He's gonna find me either way. I'm scared"
I took her in my arms and hugged her "Sh its okay, I'm here don't worry"
After five minutes of hugging, her crying stopped. I helped her sit on the bathroom sink and grabbed some paper towels. I wet them with warm water and started to clean out her bruises.
"You don't have to"
"It's ok, I know how it feels to be hit like that" I said. It was silent for about three minutes when she finally spoke.
"My names Maria"
"Paisley" I said. I pulled up her shirt and started to clean up the cut that was on her side.
"Do you have anyone to call so I can let them know you're here? Like this?" I asked.
"My brother, Sam" I passed her my phone so she could dial it. I took it back and waited for him to pick up.
