Chapter Nine

Laxus's P.O.V.

I laugh slightly as everyone looks scared. I pat the little girl's head and shoo her to her mother. And I smile as she screams "MOMMY!" And jumps onto Lucy's back.

Lucy falls over from surprise, laughing. "Layla, my goodness you scared me!"

Layla giggles and I see Igneel standing on stance, looking around like he hears something... but he relaxes and stares at his little sister with complete relief. He reminds me of Zeus a little, even if Zeus is younger, he sure as hell is stronger than his sister. That didn't matter that much, but it did come to times when he needed to protect his sister.

Ella's P.O.V.

I finally got a lacrama out of the guild with nobody noticing. I quickly connect to Luna and wait for a few moments until I see the pinkette staring at me in horror.

"Ella? Why are you alone? Shouldn't somebody be helping you around-?" She starts off but I don't care.

"Baka, where the hell are you? You sure as hell owe me something for leaving me here with none of my generation!" I snap at her, looking around a little to make sure nobody is by the riverbank.

Luna looks confused for a moment before looking even more horrified. "You're not gonna try to come to us, you were hit with some dark force without having armor on a-and Ella-" She stopped and I could see tears fall down her face. "We were too worried. I told Igneel to look out for you..."

"Oh yeah, your mom returned with Wendy." I say hoping to peak her interest.

Again, terror crossed her features. "Why? I know Gray, Juvia, Erza, and my dad are hella strong but what if four isn't enough? What if your dad gets killed in the-?" Suddenly there's arms around her and the lacrama can see... ah. George.

I smile a little hurt inside because Zeus's face flashes over my vision, Mavis I wish I could be with him. He's like three years older than I am but still he acts so responsible... older compared to me.

"Wendy is pregnant, that's why Lucy came back. I think Mira and her are going together to regroup." I say.

Jamie comes into view over the two snuggly teenagers. "Is Wendy okay?"

I sigh, exasperated. "Are you guys okay?"

George smiles, and I can see Luna melt a little. "We met Sting Junior and Melody on the way."

"Melody? You mean Meredy's daughter?" Now it's my turn to look horrid. "No, you can't let her tag along. If Meredy even finds out, she'd be hurt because she still blames herself about Jellal's capture and all-"

And there's a hand on my head, ruffling my hair. I don't even have to look to understand that it's Zeus. "Don't touch my hair." I mutter.

He chuckles, sitting beside me. He takes the lacrama from me and I see Luna jump away from George. "Hello all you beautiful idiots." He says to them calmly. "I would like to tell you that Master Laxus is enraged about your absence, and I would not like to explain my mother's rage."

"You're exaggerating." I say.

"Actually I'm not. You clearly are on my mom's good side, and she's all about showing her maddened side to her family." He leans closer to me, making my cheeks flush to red. "She nearly destroyed the Dreyar house."

"Hey, love-birds! Still here!" Luna calls.

I snatch the lacrima out of Zeus's hands and smile with a blush on my cheeks. "I guess I can't talk to you right now because somebody has come and visited." I glare at Zeus but he doesn't notice because he's looking in the stream. "Yeah, I think I told you everything I wanted..."
