Atlas's pov:

Elliot was one of the weirdest and most interesting people I have ever met. She hates almost everything on the planet yet would literally murder anyone who said they hated her friends.

I wouldn't actually be surprised if she did kill somebody.

And her eyes! Those eyes are the single most gorgeous things I've ever laid eyes on. One eye is almost completely grey and the other is 95% green.

If I could marry someone's eyeballs, it would be Elliot Morgan's.

"Hello?" I hear a snap from beside me, indicating that I had spaced out. "Thinking about a 5'7 girl with grey eyes?" Bo wiggles his eyebrows.

"She's 5'8 and one eye is green," I correct him. A little too quickly.

Bo just nods with a smirk on his face.

Elliot basically hasn't left my mind since she kissed me at the party one of the first few days she was here. I mean, yeah, it was pretty cool to have a nice looking roommate but it was even cooler when she didn't stand for your bullshit.

I hate that she's on my mind. I even told her about Emerson and Milo. We had just become friends and I told her my family story. Not the entire thing, but still. More than I've told Bo whom I've known for 3 years.

It was weird and unexplainable, but I just had the sense that she'd understand. Elliot Morgan would understand my crazy tornado of a world out of all people. I knew she didn't believe in the whatever kills you, makes you stronger. We are both kids, trauma isn't supposed to be making me stronger while I'm still a teenager.

"Bo, Atlas," and there she was. The girl that I spent all morning thinking about.

"Elli!" Bo squealed from next to me. He's basically a fan girl because he's in love with her dad.

"I have a question. I already asked Raygan and Elena and they're not doing anything for Thanksgiving break, so I was wondering if y'all are?"

"I'm not doing shit, stuck on the campus," I answer her question.

"Same here. Mom won't let me fly during holidays." Bo also answers.

"So, my dad said that I can invite my friends to visit Spokane during Thanksgiving break. Probably only because he can't spend it with me, but do you guys wanna come?"

My eyes widened. Her dad is literally going to pay for us to go all the way to Washington with his daughter. And he's never even met us.

"Yes!" Bo exclaimed, jumping up to hug Elliot.

Elliot hugged him awkwardly, then turning to me once Bo releases his grip. I nod my head slowly. Elliot smiled and walked out the library which Bo and I were attempting to study in.

"We're going to Washington in a month dude!"

I smile and nod along with Bo. Still focused on the fact that Elliots dad is letting us stay with him for a week, even though we've only known his daughter for a month.

Elliot and I actually got a lot of our article finished. She had been bugging me about doing it for 2 weeks before I actually listened.

We had an entire plan, Elliot did the research, I did the writing.

"Should the hot line be at the beginning or the end?" Elliot turned to me while I was still typing away on her computer.

"Definitely the beginning. If someone's picking this up wanting to kill themselves, they might not get far enough to read the end," I explain. It made sense in my head but I have no clue if it made sense to Elliot.
