Marinette, Heir of China

Chapter 6

Friday was an assembly day so the animal crew met up with Ms. Bustier and the class outside the office, as they had been doing ever since.

"What class today?" asked Nathaniel.

"Not right now. We have to go to assembly," Marinette said and smiled gently. She and the animal crew had been acting more proper lately, as they were getting closer and closer to the coronation, in a little more than 2 days.

"Well then, lead us there," Ms. Bustier said.

"Of course, Aunt Caline," Marinette said and turned around. She latched onto Felix and began to lead the whole group to the auditorium.

They made it to the auditorium with a few minutes to spare.

"Alright, our normal spot is in the front row because we're pretty famous around the school so we'll be there if you need us," Marinette said and pointed toward it.

"What do you mean? You're not going to be with us?" Adrien asked.

"No, the visiting classes have a special area. There's one other class visiting. From LA actually," Marinette explained.

"We need to go back to LA soon," Chloe said. Then she signed something to the animal crew. 'Especially before your coronation.'

Marinette laughed and nodded. "True." Then she turned to her class. "Alright, now head on over and sit at your spot. You know where we are."

Then the animal crew headed towards their spots.

"Naze aria wa watashitachi to issho ni kuru nodesu ka? Kanojo wa koko no gakuseide wa arimasen," Chloe said in Japanese. Translation: "Why is Alya coming with us? She's not a student here."

"Jissai, kanojo wa sōdesu. Kanojo wa matte iru watashi no joseidesu. Watashi wa sudeni kanojo no kazoku ni renraku o tori, subarashī shigoto o karera ni settei shimashita. Aria ga watashitachi to issho ni iru ma, karera wa koko ni bun bukagakushō no tsuki ni idō shite imasu. Kanojo no imōto mo shusseki suru yō ni narimasu. Demo odorokidesunode, iwanaide kudasai," Marinette replied in Japanese. Translation: "Actually, she is. She's my lady in waiting. I already contacted her family and set them up with great jobs. They're moving here next month while Alya stays with us. Her little sisters also get to attend.  It's a surprise though, so don't tell."

"Kono kyanpasu demo daigaku no jugyō o okonatte iru no wa yoi kotodesu. Sōdenakereba, aria wa koko de tatta 4-kagetsu shika e rarenaideshou," Nino said, earning some laughs. Translation: "Good thing we do college classes at this campus too. Otherwise Alya would only get four months here."

Then they all sat down in their designated seats. And right then Mrs. Couffaine walked in and onto the stage.

"Good morning students," she said.

"Good morning," the students replied.

"I have a special announcement," Mrs. Couffaine announced. "We're having a dance next Friday!" The entire school erupted into claps as this was the time to show off your best manners. "Because of this, we'll be having extra hard etiquette classes so make sure you do well."

The assembly ended soon after and the animal crew walked off together, the girls discussing outfits while the class followed.

"Let's just look in our closets. Alya, you can borrow one of mine," Marinette said.

"Oh my gosh. You're finally showing her the closet," Felix said and walked up to the boys.

"Bitch," Marinette muttered under her breath.

"What was that?"

"Nothing, my king."

"Sure, my queen."

"Wow, there was no sarcasm there at all," Juleka commented sarcastically.

"Ha," Marinette and Felix said, even more sarcastically.
