A True Lie

"I wanted to tell you guys something..."
Jin paused just as he began.

[Brat!! What are you doing??]
The Demon's words were muffled, it was as if he was trying to be quiet as much as he could.

"I wanted to tell you guys that..."

[BRAT???!!]

"I awakened my HEQ"

[!!!!!!!?????]

.....

"....."

"....."

Both Toby and Jonathan were motionless like a statue as their eyes widened at what Jin said and what they heard from him.

It was Jonathan who broke the silence. His words wavered as they came out, but the way he completed his sentence made sure that he was bewildered.

"Jin?... What do you mean??"

"I meant what I said Joe. I awakened my HEQ... remember the incident in the bathroom?"
Jin replied with an unusually strong grunt that made Jonathan shudder and take a step back.

Toby, who narrowed his eyes at Jin, took a step forward.

"You mean the Level 666 incident??... I was about to ask you that as well. What was that?..."
Toby, for the first time, opened his mouth to ask his friend.

"Yes... About that..."
Jin began, as he spoke, his eyes darted around his socket as they zoomed and scanned the floor below them.

"Jonathan, Toby..." 
It was clear that he was hesitating, at least to Delo. But the way he spoke and began his sentence made it feel like it was all part of his plan.

"I've awakened an Exotic Class..."
He said.

"....."

Jin paused as he tore his eyes from the ground and looked at his friends. At first, he glanced at their faces but soon he edged his eyes directly at their eyes.

"And my HEQ is..."

"The Flame Berserker"

"...."

"...."

The duo of the redhead and the blue haired teenager were yet again speechless at what they heard from their blonde haired friend.

It was obvious that someone had to break the silence.

But this time, unlike the previous occurrences, It was Toby who shushed Jonathan from speaking.

And Instead of remaining astounded, the redhead, who was behaving a bit differently since the beginning of the fifth minute of their reunion conveyed his voice towards his blonde friend.

"You awakened... an HEQ?..."
Toby spoke.

"Yes"
Jin nodded.

Even though Toby had his face prepared and steady, the following words which he spoke after his previous sentence came out wavering with short stutters.

"A-And... It's T-The Flame B-Berserker??..."

"Yes, Toby...."
Jin nodded yet again.

It seemed like he knew what was coming next.

"T-The same HEQ as y-your f-father's??"
Toby's stuttering words followed.

And guess what.

It DID.
