'….zzzzZZZzz…. zzzzZZZZZzzz…. forever young shawty forever young…'

"Unnie, wake up, your phone’s ringing….’ Chelsea, your sister said flatly, with the phone ringing with one of Got7’s songs. It wasn’t your regular ringtone so you didn’t recognize it.
Getting up, you looked at the display of a missed call - ‘Mark’.
That’s strange, why would he be calling you early in the morning? Oh wait, didn’t something happen last night? You jerked up half reminiscing how the night ended after dinner at JB’s.
Jackson had taken Chelsea to experience the night life at Bambam’s club, bringing Yugyeom with them.
Youngjae, JR and JB cleaned up after the dinner and Mark said he’d take you back, even though it was just a door away. Since he was pretty much familiar with your place from having come by so many times, he made himself comfortable and said he’d stay till Jackson brought Chelsea back, so you wouldn’t be alone. The last you remember, you both were on the couch, watching some movies on TV. As you looked around you realised you had fallen asleep on the couch, with a sweater over you. There was a note beside your phone.
It said ‘ couldn’t lift you up after you fell asleep so I had to leave you with my sweater. Hope there isn’t drool on it in the morning.’
"WHAT O N EARTH! THIS GUY!" your dashed hopes of waking up to something that might have at least sounded sweeter than that.
"Did you know you fell asleep on Mark Oppa’s lap when I came back last night?" Chelsea asked while fixing her hair.
Lap? did she say lap? You couldn’t imagine how embarrassing it must have been. You bit your lower lip wondering what to do.
She continued, “not just that, he couldn’t even get up for goodness-knows-how-long? I got back pretty much near dawn and he fell asleep in such an awkward position because he didn’t want to wake you.”
Dawn? didn’t that mean he probably didn’t get much sleep yet, why would he be awake and calling you? You hastily returned the call feeling bad about hearing it all.
"Hello? Mark? Hey, you called?"
"Yeah, did you drool on my sweater? It’s my favourite one though."
"Ha, is that all you can think about silly, of course not…. hey I’m sorry I really didn’t know that I …… yeah, anyways shouldn’t you be sleeping? You must have gotten back real late."
"Didn’t Chelsea tell you we were going for breakfast together? I figured that you didn’t have much time and I think you need to get her on your side first, to make it work."
"Breakfast?? Now??" — you looked at the clock, it was slightly before 9am, you didn’t have to go to work today and JB had probably left knowing that. "Oh, well yea I guess that would be okay…. but shouldn’t you catch up on some sleep first?"
"Haha, are you worrying about me right now? Look, I’ll head over to pick you both once you’re done. I’ll take a nap when I get back. I’m good babe."
"Really? Ok then I’ll make a fast one."
"Alright, see ya then. Bye"
"Hey Mark."
"Sup?"
"Sorry, and thanks."
"…………… C’mon, you’re not gonna get pass your sister with such formalities with me. You’d better remember your role from now on and play it well."
"Ha! Yes OPPA, see you then."
You hung up, unable to with hold the smile on your face.
Chelsea walked over and plonked herself down by your side. “Is there something going on between you and Mark oppa? I’ve never seen a guy that enthusiastic about having breakfast without sleep.”
Oh great, so the act starts now. You turned to face her and spoke in the most serious tone you could muster. “Do you think Dad and Mum would like him?”
"Uh— yyeah… I guess? I mean he’s no stranger to us but wait, so you guys are together?? But I thought….. and yesterday…he.."
"Well…………. it only happened yesterday, but I’m just worried how you’d react to it so I’m telling you first." You needed to get her on your side quickly, since your folks would probably react better to her.
"I’ve always told you that you both looked good together from the start, and I couldn’t be happier if he was gonna be my bro, he’s got a career every man wished for and he’s such a gentleman, it’s a surprise that he isn’t taken, don’t you think?"
She had a point, and for some reason it felt like a really flawless plan. So you decided to take it a little further.
"I’m planning to introduce him to Dad and Mum next week when they come — formally, as my fiancee."
Chelsea’s eyes grew large and you hurriedly found refuge in the washroom.

(In the car)
Mark looked fresher than usual despite the lack of rest. He glanced at the spot your head rested on, and couldn’t resist smiling fondly at how you looked. It was something he never imagined would happen. He had been replaying the scene of your request over and over again in his mind. For the whole night, he had been perturbed by how close Jackson was with you, having his arms around you and all, but he couldn’t react outright to it, knowing Jackson’s affectionate nature. Still, he wasn’t comfortable at the sight but after your ‘request’, he felt relief that he finally could have his way albeit an act but still, the pent up emotions he’d been harbouring for awhile without your knowledge could at last have its place.
Opening the front door, you got in, wearing a fresh green mini dress and a light straw hat with brown rimmed glasses. It was awhile that you wore something like that. Your usual were always jeggings and a boyish snapback. Mark had his eyes fixed on you for about 2 seconds before Chelsea got in, snapping him back to his senses.
"Mark Oppa! Oh you sneaky peeps…. nowonder Jackson took me out yesterday huh! So I made way for you both eh?" Chelsea brightly chirped, giving Mark ‘the look’ through the rear view mirror.
Surprised that Chelsea had initiated the topic before he could, he looked to you as if to ask what you did. You gave him a nod and wink and he knew what it meant.
Relaxed, he turned back and continued “A~ quit teasing us alrighty? I’m sure you’d rather have me than anyone else walking around your home next time isn’t it?”
"Woah you guys are serious business! And I thought my sister was going to be a nun forever, gee… but still, isn’t it going a little too quick? I mean, you just got together like, yesterday?"
You felt at this point you had to take the lead in the act and took a silent deep breath, wiping your clammy hands on your skirt. But before you could, Mark beat you to it. Seeing you flinch with your hands, he couldn’t take it anymore.
He slid his wide palm under yours, fingers slowly interlocking with a firm clasp. It sent a warm and fuzzy sensation that shocked and froze you. You felt like your heart did stop for a moment.
"A~~ you’re still a little baby to understand. When you get to my age, you’d know better than to waste another day after going a big round and knowing your soulmate was right beside you. I’m not taking chances on this girl."
Although you felt that no words were entering your ears, you could hardly believe what was going on. This act was starting to fool with your mind a little too early in the morning. It left you quite speechless to react.
Mark was really proactive about this, much unlike the chic image he had always preserved, it was a new side that you never experienced or expected.
You could only smile and urged him to drive, reluctantly placing his hand back on the wheel.
He brought you guys to a sweet little cottage cafe, with white picket fences and a garden with little bunnies hopping around. They were an old-school ice-cream dessert parlour that served up cutely decorated pancakes, waffles, parfait, and all the things you loved.
"Omo~~~~!!!!!!!" You quickly forgot everything and started petting the little bunnies as soon as you saw them. "You’re such a cutieeeee!!" you squealed as you picked up a little furball in your arms.
Mark stood watching you, knowing that it was the perfect place for you. He had been wanting to find an excuse to take you here, and it couldn’t be more apt than to do that now.
"Wow Mark Oppa you really know her well, this is just the kind of place she’d die for." Chelsea was impressed and seemed to have bitten the bait right off the bat.
"I’ve never had the chance, really…. and I thought I never would have." He found the words escaping his mouth, in 100% honesty that even he had trouble coming to terms with. "Let’s head in and grab a bite, you’ll like the pancakes!"
They headed in to sit by the window, Mark choosing a spot that gave him a clear view of you in the garden, as he waited for Chelsea to read the menu.
You felt someone looking at you and looked up, locking eyes with him. It was instinctive that you smiled at his sight, even more happy being surrounded in an ambience so lovely and endearing. He motioned to grab a bite and you nodded, putting down the bunnies that gathered on your lap.
The meal went on and before you knew it, it was time to head back. After dropping both of you, Mark headed back home for a much needed rest. But he couldn’t help thinking of you again.
(Texting)
"Hope you liked the breakfast, it was a place I wanted to show you for awhile now… and I hope you didn’t mind what happened in the car.."
You read the text and thought to yourself, how you wouldn’t mind that happening every morning, or every day for that matter. How could you mind? You decided to respond.
"I haven’t had so much fun in a long time, thanks to you, oppa….you really didn’t have to… I just wasn’t used to it..  "
Placing the phone back, you turned to walk away, but it sounded again instead.
"Mark my words, you’d better get used to it from now on."
Gee, what was that supposed to mean? ‘From now on?’ It sent a wave of excitement through your body at his sudden change to take charge of things. It made you feel like leaning on him like a little girl, happy to let him have his way. You couldn’t even remember when you last felt this way, having been independent for so long. You’d gotten used to taking care of your emotions and coping with doing things on your own.
But what exactly was that last message about?
