Ch7: Remember the Reminder

Sunday, Benny knocked on Luan's door, and there's no response, he knocked once more "I'm coming!" Luan called from the inside so Benny waited, Luan opened the door "why are you a morning person?" Luan groaned "I'm sorry?" Benny smiled, he can tell by the roughed out hair and the pajamas that she just woke up "I can come back so you can freshen up" Benny said "but you just got here, just get in…" Luan mumbled and Benny walked in.

Benny looked around and noticed how messy yet clean it is, almost like in a 3 star hotel "it's not much, but I call it home" Luan said "I'm gonna be in the bathroom, could you make me breakfast while you're waiting?" Luan asked and Benny nodded "for a fee" Benny joked and Luan smiled "what? do I also have to pay you to hang out with me too?" Luan joked and Benny laughed "you'll get it in your paycheck" Luan said as she grabbed a towel and left. Benny took some time to admire Luan's apartment. walking around and stopped to look at some pictures on her desk.

he picked up a picture of Luan with her youngest sister; Lily, she was only 14 years old holding her baby sister, Benny smiled then placed it down, saw another picture of her siblings "heh, they really are chaotic" Benny thought as he glanced at it, he continued to look around then after that started on preparing his boss's food. he opened the fridge and saw that it's filled with alot of ingredents and leftovers "she could feed a village with all of these food" Benny thought.

"hey Luan? what exactly do you want to-" Benny called then heard the shower running, Luan can't be interrupted being her shower, it's a girl thing. Benny sighed and decided that she'll be having the basic waffles with scrambled eggs. Benny finished then waited for Luan to finish her shower, while waiting Benny continued to look around, he tripped on a wire then found a box written Achievement Box on the side of it, Benny dragged it closer and opened it, he found out that most of her trophies and medals are from junior comedians and such, a logo of her old business she made when she was younger, a highschool yearbook and a collage diploma with a picture of her wearing a black toga. Benny smiled at how much she changed, he placed everything where it should and pushed back the box like it wasn't been touched, then sits on the couch.

after some time, Luan finally got out of the bathroom, Benny resists to turn around, respecting Luan and tried not to look at her directly "so…" Luan stroked his shoulders down to his chest from behind, Benny jumpped then tried to think of something to avoid anything naughty thoughts "what do you have planned?" Luan whispered, rubbing his chest, Benny gulpped and tried to think of something "y-you have very… cute nails… wine red… a beautiful shade…" Benny said "please don't kill me, Miss Loud, I'm too young" Benny added making Luan chuckle, she slowly leaned over his ear "I'm glad you haven't changed…" Luan whispered "…my innocent Benny Beau" Benny quickly turned to look at her, not caring if she's on her bathrobe, she just smiled "surprise!" Luan lip snyc then ran away "w-wait sO YOU WERE FAKING IT?!" Benny shouted "happy September fools!" Luan shouted back and closed the door of her bedroom "after all this time?! your siblings were right! you are more cruel than the devil himself!" Benny shouted.

"the eggs are missing some salt" Luan said as she took a bite of her waffles and eggs "you really have that planned when I was away?" Benny pouted with his brows furrowed "I'm not gonna lie, when you were standing in front of my apartment, I wanted to cry" Luan replied "but Lincoln messaged me that you're here, and… well… I haven't pulled a prank in a LOOONG time" Luan said "I wasted so many nights overthinking! you piece of… EVIL!" Benny exclaimed and Luan laughed "it's just one harmless prank, calm down!" Luan said as she patted his head, she later on placed his head on her shoulder "harmless?! I really thought you forgot about me!" Benny whimpered as he hugged her "what?! I would never!" Luan exclaimed "heh, if I had that hunk of wood again, he would tell you that I still have that picture we took on our first date" Luan joked.

"it's such a relief that you still remember me" Benny said and kissed her cheek "because! why won't we talk during the weekends?! is it forbidden?!" Luan asked "what are we? Romeo and Juliet? we can't be together?" Luan joked.

"Luan, it's hard for me to say this but…" 18-year-old Benny paused then he looked at his concerned girlfriend "…we can't talk during collage" Benny finished "what?! why? are you breaking up with me?!" Luan asked "no! that's not what I'm saying!" Benny replied "it's just that… collage is so important" Benny said "and you're too much of a distraction" Benny added "can't we talk in the weekends?! even in semester break?! why can't I talk to you then?!" Luan asked "I need all the focus I can, I'm sorry" Benny replied and Luan let tears roll down her face.

"Luan, I love you and I don't want you to be sad" Benny said "I get it… I'm annoying" Luan said as she wiped a tear "I'm so annoying that you lose focus! I get it!" Luan exclaimed "you don't have to sugarcoat it! I how it feels to be lied to and it's more painful than saying the truth!" Luan sobbed, Benny hugged Luan to comfort her "when I graduated, I'm going straight to Royal Woods to see you" Benny said, he grabbed Luan's face and kissed her forehead "I'm sowwy, pwease don't be mwad" Benny said in a high pitch "stop cwying, you know I hwate to swee my wittle pwecious baby girl cwy" Benny wiped her tears and she chuckled "smile now, pweaseee" Benny whined and she gently slapped his face "I hate your stupid baby voice" Luan laughed "no you dow't, wou wove it" Benny said.

Benny said "I didn't want to see anyone new, Luna tried to convince me to move on" Luan said "she would be the one finding me a boyfriend, I didn't like any of them" Luan added "even if they were rich, talented or handsome, I don't want change" Luan hugged Benny, squeezing him "aww… so you stayed loyal? good girl" Benny patted her head like a dog and she laughed "but hey! past is past, so…" Benny paused

"what do you want to do, Luan?"

"get married"

"that fast?"

"I'm kidding!" Luan said "we could probably talk about some stuff, what happened during those 8 years without seeing each other"
