Chapter 14: Cosmic Order

All six of us crowded into the small ship. As Dark Seegnal took the helm he offered me a seat on his lap again. I abruptly refused.

As we were soaring through space Brian leaned toward me and whispered, "Hey, Toby, can I ask you something?"

I stared at him.

"What is it like having a period?" Brian asked. "I mean, is it as bad as girls always making it out to be?"

"Brian, never ask a girl about her period!"

"Oh, c'mon, Toby, you can tell me," Brian pleaded. "We are both guys here."

"Oh, Brian, leave her alone," Debra snapped.

I turned to Debra. "Did you just referred to me as her?"

"I meant, leave HIM alone," Debra said apologetically.

With all that was going on with my body, I wondered if Debra wasn't right the first time.

"Hey, guys, I was wondering," Judy said. "We all morphed out of our Zeron Warrior forms so the Cosmic Order won't recognize us, but Toby can't change back. Wouldn't they recognize him?"

"They might not while he's wearing that dress," Debra said, then turning to me, said, "All the same, I think you should keep your head down and try not to draw attention to yourself."

I rolled my eyes. "Sure, when we're in the Cosmic Order I would do my best not to do the Macarena."

Before long Dark Seegnal yelled, "We're reaching the Cosmic Order.

I gazed out the side window to see that the ship was approaching a cube, not unlike the cube that brought us to the Circus at the Edge of the Universe, but much bigger.

"Someone has to take my place at the helm," Dark Seegnal said.

Judy stared at him in horror. "You mean, drive your spaceship?"

"You fly a spaceship, but yes," Dark Seegnal replied. "After all, I'm supposed to be your prisoner, remember? It'd look pretty suspicious if they see the prisoner flying the spaceship back to prison."

"I still remember how to fly a spaceship so I'll take over," Tak said.

Tak exchanged seats with Dark Seegnal at the helm.

Dark Seegnal reached under his seat and took out two items. A space gun and what appeared to be futuristic handcuffs.

"Hey, Red, you're going to need this," Dark Seegnal said as he held the gun out to me.

"You're giving me a gun?" I cried.

"There's no charge in it," Dark Seegnal assured me. "But we're going to have to make this look real. I'm Dark Seegnal, the scourge of the galaxy. I'm not going to be capture by a bunch of unarmed teenagers."

I reluctantly took the gun.

Dark Seegnal slipped on the futuristic handcuffs. "Remind me of old times," he sighed.

Just then a voice sounded through the radio. "Cosmic Order to unknown ship, you are trespassing in a restricted area. Please comply."

Tak pressed a button and said, "We are a band of bounty hunters. We've caught an escaped fugitive by the name of Dark Seegnal."

"Dark Seegnal?"

"That's the name I said."

"Access to the Cosmic Order is granted."

A square hole appeared in the cube and Tak flew the ship into it.

The ship landed on some kind of runway
