Toby P.O.V
It was the beginning of summer. School had let out for the year. Mom, Dad, my sister Judy, and I was sitting around the table eating breakfast. Mom and Dad were discussing where to go for summer vacation when a special report came on the TV.
A man behind a desk explained that an unusual object had appeared in the sky over the farming district.
Oh, no, I hope it wasn't another alien invasion, I thought. I didn't know how many more I could take. Every time there was an alien attack I was forced to change into an armor-clad girl and try to stop it.
"The strange object seemingly appeared during the night out of nowhere," the anchorman was saying. "Let take you to Tracy Bimgan live on the scene.
The TV switched to a woman holding a microphone standing in the country. I could see a barn in the background."Thank you, Doug," the woman said. "I'm here in the farming district where a strange object had appeared over the earth out of nowhere."
The camera spanned upward until we got a look at the strange object. It was shaped like a cube hovering in the sky. It was a silver metallic color, but it wasn't metal. It looked more like a 3D shape one could make on their computer.
"Tracy, what can you tell us about this phenomenon?" came the anchorman's voice.
The Camera spanned back to the woman. "Just that it's about the size of a small city and it's floating approximately two-hundred miles above the earth."
"Tracy, do you think this cube-like thing could be from another world? Maybe some form of spaceship?"
"Well, Doug, at this point it wouldn't surprise me," Tracy replied. "But there was no sign of any activity coming from the cube so there is no telling if it's hostile."
The TV switched back to the studio where they began talking about other things happening in the news.
Then during the weather report came a special announcement that the cube was showing activity. They switched back to Tracy who claimed that a face had appeared on the cube.
When they showed the cube it was the face of a young woman almost as big as the cube. She had flowing pink hair and big shining blue eyes.
Her pink lips parted. "Do not be afraid," she said in a gentle, but a thunderous voice. "We mean you no harm. My name is Zara and I represent the Cosmic Order. We know about the first two attacks on your planet so we understand your lack of trust in us. And we are sad to admit that we were partly responsible for them. We were monitoring space when they got past us. None of those invasions had to have happened if we had done our job better. It was really quite an embarrassment to us. After the attack by the Dominators, we felt that we should apologize to the earth by breaking your bridges."
"What was that?" She turned her face as though talking to someone just off-screen. "Is that how you say it?"She turned back. "I'm sorry, I meant to say, building bridges. I'm not used to your Earth slang. Back on the subject, to tie the bonds of friendship between our two worlds we offer you a gift. To share our technology with you. We only asked one thing from you. This has to do with the young ladies who've defeated the Dominators mostly the one that calls herself Zeronia."
My dad sniffed. "It figures this has something to do with her," he murmured.
My dad never really like Zeronia. He had a theory she had a hand in the alien invasions of Earth. I sometimes wondered what he would think if he ever finds out that the girl who was saving the earth was really his son.
Zara continued. "I wish Zeronia and her friends to accompany us back to the Cosmic Order to represent the Earth and help cement our friendship between our worlds." Her face faded into the cube.
I looked over at Judy who had a hand at helping me defeat the Dominators when she was transformed into Rose Saber with the help of her pink Zeron Crystal.
Judy stared back at me. I knew we were both thinking the same thing. If we go to another planet how the hell were we suppose to explain this all to Mom and Dad?
The answer came about an hour later when two armed soldiers knocked at our door and very politely asked the whole family to come with them.
