Judy, Tak, and I were leaving the big tent. I didn't know who I was angrier with. Brian for scaring us all like that, or Zara for letting him do it.
We all agreed, enough was enough. We were going to find Brian and Debra, then demand that Zara get us off this asteroid.
As we were leaving we ran into Zara and her ever-present grin.
"Where are you going?" Zara asked politely. "The show isn't over."
"It is for us," I told her. "We're getting the Emerald Warrior and Gold Viper and leaving this asteroid."
Zara's grin faded from her face. "Sorry, I can't allow you to do that."
"I beg your pardon?" Judy asked. "What do you mean you can't allow us to do that?"
"You must stay here as long as needed," Zara explained.
"So you didn't just bring us here for fun," Tak concluded. "You meant to keep us here!"
"That is correct," Zara replied. "Now I have asked you politely to stay, but I would use force if necessary."
"Just who do you think you are?" I hollered. "There is no way you can keep us here."
Zara stared at me. "If you're going to be so defiant then you leave me no choice, but to do to you the same as what I did to the Emerald Warrior."
Debra? She did something to Debra?
I drew my wand and morphed it into a sword, then pointed the tip of the blade at her throat. "What did you do to her?" I demanded through clenched teeth.
Zara didn't seem the tiniest bit intimidated by my sword pointed at her throat. "You'll find out soon enough," she said.
Her right arm split apart and began transforming as the sound of moving metal parts could be heard. Her arm shaped itself into some kind of a cylinder.
"A matter compressor ray," Tak exclaimed. "Stop her before she can use it."
The cylinder began spinning and starting to light up.
I quickly swung my sword and sliced through the cylinder. The gun let out a harmless spark of electricity then died.
"You broke my arm," Zara said. "That was so rude."
I aimed my blade back to Zara's throat. "And the next thing that is coming off is your head unless you tell me what you did to Debra," I yelled.
Zara ignored my threat. "It seems that I had failed," she stated. "Solution, switching to self-destruct mode."
Self-destruct mode?
Zara's eyes began flashing red as a beeping sound could be heard from her.
"RUN," Tak screamed and we all began running away as fast as we could.
