Chapter Four

Caroline woke up energized and looked at the window. It was dark outside. "Why did I wake up in the middle of the night?" Caroline asked herself. She got up but couldn't balance herself so she stand on four legs. She crawled to the bathroom and turned on the light. She noticed her hands were furry. She looked into the mirror and noticed herself as a wolf. She thought she was dreaming BYU's she didn't want to wake up from the dream. She always wanted to be a wolf. She ran outside freely in the cold night breeze. She loved the breeze through her dense and fluffy gray fur. She howled at the moon happily. She heard a howl back and saw a male wolf running to her. He was a handsome wolf with piercing amber eyes. He was worried and tried to rush to Caroline. He stopped and saw Caroline's emerald green eyes and was distracted. "Are you alright? You sounded a bit desperate", he said. "No, I'm actually quite happy. Sorry I worried you", said Caroline. 

"It's fine. Is it your first night out or are you just happy?" Asked the male wolf. "A bit of both. You see I'm actually am not a wolf", said Caroline. The male wolf didn't look confused at all. "A human?" He asked. Caroline nodded. "Don't worry, I'm only a wolf during the night time too. I was cursed to be a human in the daytime when I was a little pup", the male wolf explained. "You don't understand how much I admire wolves", said Caroline. The male wolf smiled. "You never told me your name. What is it?" He asked. "Caroline", answered Caroline. The male wolf looked at the dark sky and back at Caroline. "Jairen, just call me Jairen", he said. "Okay", said Caroline. Caroline never fell in love before but she was definitely in love with Jairen. They spent the whole night chasing each other and howling happily at the moon until the sun was rising. They said their goodbyes and parted their ways.
