The dagger

He held my face in the water. It hurt like hell. I wanted him to let go. I had struggled, but afterwards I had stopped. It was no use. He wanted me dead. I knew the reason. My mother made up all the excuses in the book to cover his actions. When one day it happened. I was 4. He held my head in the water, he didn't let go, he hated me.

"Ah!" I sit up awoken from the nightmare. I gasp and a hand helps me lie back down. I close my eyes, waiting for reality to push in. The side of my stomache hurt badly. I reached for it, but again the hand stopped me.
"You were always like this weren't you? Never telling anyone anything. Always keeping your feeling's to yourself. Why?" The voice said. I opened my eyes and stared at Login's face. He reached for the side of my face. I looked at him my eyes blury. I closed them and opened them again. He wiped my tear away. He smiled that very sad smile that i hated. He'd been like that since we were really small. He'd always look over me.
"I'm sorry." I croak. He smiles.

I was about to enter the room, but didn't because Login was already there. She smiled that stupid smile that only came up for him. What was he doing anyway? This was a mission, not a romance show. She was crying, did her side hurt? Well, she should have waited for my signal. Ugh, whatever. I take one last look and Login had leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. I could feel blood rise to my neck and then my cheeks. Whatever. I stomped away.

Login left after a while. The dream had scared me and i had accidently let him see me cry. It's okay as long as it's him. I sit up a bit and a knock comes on the door. In comes Alace with tears in her eyes.
"Oh Alace!" I say. I was about to get up when she came to my side and started crying.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to get you hurt. I was just...!" She said crying but i cut her off.
" Alace it's okay. It was my fault. Just stop crying! I say reaching for her. I pat her head and she smiles. We talk for awhile and then she yawns and i tell her to go to sleep. As soon as she leaves and i lay back down. I needed to change my bandages. I had a short shirt over my chest and my shoulders, which also covered most of my back and bagy pants. The bandages covered my stomache. I got up and was breathing hard. Heck, the blood had started up again. The door flew open and shut behind William. I looked at him and the picture of him letting the bandit die kicked in. I gave him a snear and he looked at me.
"Are you... okay?" He asked. I didn't give him a reply. I turned away from him, and faced the wall. He stood there in silence and so did i.
"Ugh!" I let out a gasp of pain. The floor started spinning and i fell to the floor. He rushed to my side and i leaned against him. I tryed to push him away.
"Stop! The more you move the more blood's going to flow. Let me put some pressure on it."He said. I looked at him. His hand was on the side of my stomache.
"Don't try to act so nice. You killed a man earlier. How can you act like nothing happened!" I said still trying to push away.
"What the heck! We were still near the island." He said.
"Ha?"i said dumb struck.
"What? When they satbbed you they took your brain with it!" He said.
"..." i tryed to speak but nothing came out.
"Just shut up and let me change your bandages!" He said and i kept quite. Everywhere he would touch, it would be like my skin was on fire. My heart started pounding faster. The way his hand skimmed my stomache every now and then. The way he would look at me.
" There it's done!" He said and stood up and helped me stand up. He was going to leave when i reached for him and touched his back. He turned.
"Um... thank you..." i said.
"Wait here, let me go bring the scroll." He said. I nodded. He came back and set the scroll on the table. It was a dagger with a rose at the hilt, and vines around the the rest of the dagger.
"This is what the thing that will be shown! " said William excited. I didn't say anything. I just kept on staring at the dagger, for i had seen it before. I knew what it was. I knew.
"Our last stop is The palace of Dawn!" He said. The palace of Dawn, the palace where kyle lives. The person who wants the jewel.
So wait then I... I know the truth.
