Never fall asleep again

When I turned the corner into Mia's street I saw my childhood home. I never want to go back in there. I have arrived at Mia's place. She took over the house from her parents, when they moved. Mia opened the door with a smile.

''Good that you didn't die on the way over'' We both laughed.

I put my leather jacket on the side of the sofa. I literally fell down on the sofa without even considering how it looked. I slowly fell asleep. Because lets be honest, it's been a long day.

 I woke up by a huge noise. Something crushed.Then mommy came running in and locked the door behind her.

 I who sat in my bed and didn't understand a thing, looked straight at my mom's eyes. They were filled with tears. She had dark marks on her wrists. He bit her lip, to not cry in front of me. Fast she came forward and placed her hands on my tiny face. Her hands was burning.

''I Love you. I also Love your brother. But not your father, not any more.''

 How cud she say this to a eight year old. I heard two pair of footsteps. One more aggressive then the other. This frightened me. I picked up the nearest teddybear. 

Though the door I heard:

 ''Stop! Dad stop! She didn't do anything!'' It was my brother.

My mommy went over to the window and opened it. She took one foot out and sat down and looked over at me.

''Don't fallow in my footsteps, darling. Don't become me.''

Then she was gone. I ran over to the window to see if I still could see her. No trace of her. My mommy is gone.

Then the footsteps stopped, but it shifted into a violent noise. Like something went down the stairs.

 At my bedroom door there was someone pounding hard. ''Maya! I KNOW YOU ARE IN THERE!'' It was my daddy's voice. I ran over to my bed and hid under it.

 Without knowing I had my teddybear with me all along. He was protecting me. It was more of a white rabbit but still, he is always there for me.

Then I heard gunshots at my door. One... two... three... He stood in the door for a couple of seconds, then he ran over to the window. How do I know this? The bunny told me.

''Fuck, shit!'' He tossed the gun at the wall, and it landed right in front of me. I crawled out with the heavy gun in my hand. I stared at my dad.

 What's going on? I pointed the gun at his belly. Then he noticed me and the gun.

 ''Give the gun to daddy Paige, give it to me''. The tears stared to fall from my eyes. What is going on I wanted to yell.

 ''That's no toy Paige. Now give it here''

 I looked out the door. I haven't heard from my brother in a time now. Then without knowing I fired a shoot. It hit my dad in the forehead. I dropped the gun in the same second as I fired the shoot. I got pushed against the wall behind me.

I ran out the door at once I got a hand of the rabbit. At the end of the stair, was my brother Zeke.

 I sat down by him, and touched his face so he could wake up.

 ''Zeke? Are you awake? You can't sleep upside down in the stairs. No! Not now. wake up! Please I wanna go!''

Tears kept falling down. ''Wake up! Zeke!''

I woke up screaming: ''Zeke!''
