War's blessings

The last thing I had remembered at the battle was getting into Orson's car. After that I had heard metal clanking and a bright light appearing once a door was opened. I was being carried by JET, he had been taking me right to the medical bay. I was placed on a soft mattress with a rusty metal support around it. I turned over an saw her, the nurse I had seen at the small gathering.

She had suddenly ejected something into me and I began to see more clearly. Her face was beautiful even under her medical face wear. I could start to feel my arms again as I slowly moved them back in fourth. I looked at her and smiled nervously a bit.

"Wow thanks Doc! Your amazing"

She was flattered by the comment and replied to me in a sweet tone
"Just doing my job. Also again, I'm proud of you for getting that win for our team! Must've been a lot of work getting there!"

I remember it certainly had been a lot of work, I was never the strongest in my family. I had always run from fights and told I was weak. Hearing someone say theses kind things to me made my heart warm. We talked some more before I had finally left. As I was leaving I had thought I heard someone else talking to Claire but I simply shrugged it off, thinking nothing of it.

When I had met up with the others they were all glad to see me and all gave their fair share of reactions.
First up was Tik who had ran up to me and gave me a large hug and yelled quite excitedly, next was Nick who gave me a simply pat on the back, after was Richard who nodded to me, JET hadn't given any gestures sense he was not the most human person on the team. Orson hadn't been around due to his car being shot by one of the RED mercenaries and he was clearly concerned of it.

I hadn't seen Claire come around at all, but I had seen we had gotten two new members. First was an engineer, her name had been Sarah. She was certainly a rose with thorns, very smart and intelligent, didn't let anyone tell her what to do. Despite their opposites she seemed to already have a sort of relation ship with Richard. There was also a solider, female, her name was Alice. She wasn't exactly the brightest on the team but she was sure enthusiastic she also had some pet badger which I decided to keep my distance from. When ever I felt down she attempted to take me under her wing... literally I was tackled to the ground.

At this point I believed I had found a sort of peace. I didn't miss my home too much because here I had friends and I had talent. The only scary times happening around battle, even then I could manage through and we'd always win. Though things would twist as time continued onwards...
