Thump thump thump. Everything was silent but she could hear her heartbeat. Thump thump thump. Stuffy. The air was stuffy. Her lungs felt as if reaching for air but there was not enough. Thump thump thump. If she were not a human, she swore she could hear her blood rush back and forth with no direction. Rose blinked a few times, wishing it were all a dream. And when she realised that blinking was to no avail, she opened her mouth. No sound came out, however. She desired to speak, to scream, to cry. But...nothing. Thump thump thump.

Thump thump thump.

She stood there, frozen in time and unable to walk. Her hands were shaky and her palms sweaty. Why could she not move?

„Rose?" the Time Lord called. „It's you."

But she could not hear him. Thump thump thump. His voice seemed so distant, like a hallucination in the back of her mind. Her brain felt pressured as if it could explode any moment, Thump thump thump.

Seeing that, the human Doctor rushed to her side, taking her hands in his. He gazed into her eyes but she looked nowhere, through him and nowhere at the same time.

„What's wrong with her?" the Time Lord asked. „Rose?"

„She is having a panic attack." the Doctor replied. „Rose, look at me. Hey, look at me." he smiled, placing his palm onto her cheek. „Rose, can you tell me where you are?"

„I...Sorry, I.. What is that noise?!" she yelled.

„You're okay, just breathe." the Doctor said. „Now, tell me where you are. What do you see? Describe it to me."

„I'm...I see you. I see...the sky."

„Great. Now tell me what colour it is."

„It's blue. It's a blue sky. Scattered clouds. Like it's about to rain soon."

„Great. Can you tell me who you are?" he continued.

„I'm Rose. Rose Tyler."

„That's great, Rose. What else can you see?"

„I see Cardiff. I see the hub. And I see...I see the TARDIS."

With that, she finally snapped, falling onto her knees and murmuring to herself. Thump thump thump. The TARDIS. The TARDIS was back and with it... Rose looked up at the Time Lord and saw the look of concern on his face.

She slowly placed the gun she was holding from her chest to the ground and took a deep breath.

„Are you okay?" the Doctor asked, playing with a strand of her hair.

„Yeah, I'm fine. Thank you." she stood up her feet, then glared at the Time Lord. If she were back then, she would've jumped into his arms, but right now...This was just not fair. „What are you doing here?"

The Time Lord was just about to go back into the TARDIS when he heard her. „I was just..."

„And now you're gonna just sod off?" she said. „No. You've got some explaining to do."

„Right. I do.. just, err, not right here. Let's just..." he gestured towards the TARDIS and they all followed.

Once inside, Rose noticed the place to feel a bit odd. The lights were dimmed down and it was cold, too cold. She walked up to the console, a lingering warm touch against it. The TARDIS noised in response.
