✨SPECIAL BUT KIND OF NOT✨

~Karl's POV. Sapnaps birthday~ (we will pretend that the time is lined up, I think it is but if I'm wrong sorry-)

It's Sapnap's birthday, which means I need to do as much as possible for him. He's been helping me the past few weeks with my sickness and feelings and all that 

So I want to give back to him 

So I got up early this morning to make him breakfast, I know Sapnap likes to wake up beside me more then anything. So I plan to make breakfast then go back to bed and wake him up after a bit 

I wasn't sure what I was going to make him, I know what he likes to eat, and what he doesn't. But I wanted it to be really special so I asked him a bit back what his favorite breakfast was as a kid 

~flashback, Sapnap telling the story~

My parents always made each birthday feel even more special then the one before it, but the only thing that stayed the same was breakfast 

My mom would wake everyone up early to make this one thing together, we would sit at the table talking about all sorts of stuff, whether it was just me talking or someone else talking 

It always seemed to take forever for it to bake, but it never did. It may had been 15 or 20 minutes, but with all the talking or playing it felt like nothing 

So once it was done all we had to do was wait for it to cool down, then we would flip it over and eat it with milk 

I'm not sure if you've had it before, but it's called monkey bread

~end of flashback. Back to Karl's POV~

So as the 'great chief' I am, I made monkey bread. I may or may not had no idea what it was and had to look up many recipes for it 

But it was finally made and ready to be eaten, now I know it wasn't the exact same thing from Sapnap's childhood but I wanted us to make a birthday special 

I placed the bread in the middle of the kitchen island and placed cups mostly full of milk, I let a sigh of relief out as I look at the time on the oven 

I noticed that I was basically on time and just needed to get back upstairs to lay back down 

So I head upstairs and smoothly get back into bed with Sapnap, which was in his room and cuddled up towards him 

He squished me into his chest as soon as he feels I was in front of him, I lightly giggle at his cuteness 

We laid in bed for the next 10 minutes before I finally decided to just wake him up 

"Sapnap~" I whispered into his ear as he lightly opened his eyes 

"No"he rejected 

"I have something for you" I add, he hums 

"Why?" He asks while lazily lays his head on top of my head 

"It's your birthday silly" I laugh, I guess he was just so tired he forgot about his birthday 

"It is?" He asks, I nod and start to get lose from his grips 

"Nick, come on" I groan while trying to keep him awake enough to get out of bed 

"No<3" he said again, i grunt as I sit on his lower stomach and pull the collar of his shirt close to my head 

"Get up" I whispered into his ear, just as I let go of his shirt and get off him then walked right out the room 

My face goes red from whatever the honk I just did, I hear Sapnap getting out of the bed. So I walk faster to the kitchen and watched for him to walk down the stairs to see what I made him 

He gets to the bottom of the staircase while rubbing his eyes 

He sniffs and notices a certain smell that he knows way to well 

He looks up from rubbing his eyes and sees the monkey bread, his face light up with excitement

He slowly walks over to me, while he looks in between me and the bread 

"You made that for me..?" He asks while he places his hands on my hips, I place my hands around his neck and nod 

"H-how did you know?" He asks again still in shock 

"You told me about a story from your childhood, and I wanted to make this birthday special" I say with a wide smile on my face 

"Thank you" he says while pulling our bodies together and holding me tight 

"I love you" I mumbled into his shoulder, he lightly mumbles it back just before letting go of the hug and walking over to the table 

"You even got the milk-" he says while I nod with a little laughter from how cute he was being

Sorry it's such a weird ending, it's late and I have to get up early 

But I just wanted to have a special things it's a special day for me(it's my birthday btw 9-24)
