4 (Past)

It took about 4 hours before Wen Qing finally patched the last of the wound. She had to stitch some since the wound was too big. 

Wen Qing turned to Lan Zhan who kept a close eye on the mer. "Alright he's gonna be okay. Weak but alive. He'll be sleeping for a few more hours so just keep watch and call me if anything goes wrong." With that she left the room leaving Lan Zhan to care for the sleeping mer.

"How is he?" Lan Xichen asked as he gave Wen Qing a cup of coffee.

"Okay. But I still need to monitor him since those serious burns can cause damaged." Wen Qing sighed as the warm coffee slid down her dry throat.

"How damaging are they?"

"Fire Corals are actually dangerous type of corals in the mer world. They are often used as weapons against sirens and other creatures of the deep. If one touches the fire corals his skin would first start feeling like it's being burned before the dangerous part happens, it will begin to melt the skin slowly at first. And there are no known cure for Fire Corals in the mer world but I have made one with our human medicines."

Lan Xichen stared hard at his cup of coffee before turning to Wen Qing. "As you said, it melts the skin. So why isn't his skin melting?"

"That's easy. This merman you guys found isn't a normal merman. He apparently controls dark magic, this power saved and protected him from further harm if not he wouldn't have made it to shore alive. And base from his red lotus tattoo on his right hip I'm guessing he's from the famous Lotus Cove."

"Lotus Cove?"

Wen Qing placed her empty cup on the table before standing up. "I best not tell anymore. You should go asked him once he recovers about the mer world and not me." With that she left to check on her brother.

While Lan Xichen decided to check on Wangji and the injured mer. He gently opened the door and saw Wangji gently caressing each bandaged injury with a sad face.

"Wangji?"

"Brother." That single word made Lan Xichen understand his little brother's intention. Though it isn't a good idea he can't really oppose it as Wangji only ever asked for something when he realy wants it and that happened only a few times and it is countable by hand.

"I'll go back and prepare a place for him. For now if Uncle calls you can either ignore him or tell him you are busy, I'll handle the rest."

Lan Xichen gave his brother a quick hug before leaving. Since he needed to do a lot of things. One of them bein the renovation of his little brother's condo. He probably needed a large room where he can build a fish tank big enough for the mer to swim around.

Along with that Lan Xichen had to keep his Uncle away. And that's a hard one to do considering their Uncle loves to know what is happening with them at all times.

"I best call some of my friends to help." Lan Xichen said as he started his car before driving away from Wen Qing's place.

WEI YING'S PAST

A young Wei Ying heartily laughed as his father threw him up and down. He clapped his hands and showed his one missing teeth through a large smile.

"Honey careful. We don't want our Xianxian to lose another teeth if he falls."

Right. Young Wei Ying lost his tooth when they went to the surface and he happily played along the beach. He stepped on a small coconut and fell, his tooth was already loose and the fall made it come out.
