After hours of work and battling, both sides had many wounds, some deaths were also on the side. Villains were stepping up their games and the heroes followed suit. They had to keep the momentum on their side.
They struggled as the battle continued. Villains got caught int the traps, but some were able to break free. Capturing and bring the villains to prison, the police were risking their lives, just like the heroes. There were also deaths on their side, but they were able to keep up with the captures. They took the knocked out or caught villains into a vehicle and drove them to prison, locking them up in a cell with quirk cancelling cuffs.
Izuku frowned at the screen. Switching views of the battlefield, it seemed that the other heroes were nearly finished on their side, though the ones who were taking the middle of the city, former class 1A, seemed to have the situation more difficult. After the fighting on the outer side of the city, he doubted that the heroes would have any strength to help or back-up his elder brother and his peers.
The fact frustrated the 8-year-old, as he didn't want the hope of the people to die out and vanish. Another reason was that he didn't want to see his friends die in front of him. Even though it was on the screen, just watching it would make him go into despair and the darkness. There would be no hope for the future and the light that guided them would be gone.
The battle continued and everyone finished their parts, except for the group in the middle of the city. They were still fighting. There was only one left, which all 20 heroes were having trouble against. They had many wounds. Some bleeding, others broken bones and bruises, though they continued to fight. All tired and panting, they still had the hope shining in their eyes.
The last opponent was the one they had faced in the past. A Nomu. It seemed that the villain group called Survivors gave the creature most of the quirk boost, as it was their last trump card in the war. It looked similar to the ones All for One created, as he was the master and the Nomu was the last one who was spared. He was also a part of the Survivors.
It was smarter than the ones he they faced. It could talk and hid its weak spot, his brain, not exposing it to the heroes.
"Give up." It said with a smug smirk. "How long are you planning on fighting to delay your deaths?"
Bakugo sneered. "We're planning for you to fucking die first, then we could do whatever shit we want."
The Nomu snickered. "Such a bold statement for a dead man."
"What the fuck do you mean?" Bakugo growled. "I'm fucking alive and kicking."
"Same here!" Called out Kirishima and Kaminari as they started to activate their quirks, walking up to the number one hero's side.
The others started to release their quirks and stood strong with each other. Todoroki replied, "Can we get this over and done with so I can eat my cold soba?"
"Whatever Half n' Half." Bakugo responded as they all charged at the Nomu.
Those who were useless in the fight stood back and watched, defending the police who were getting the villains, while the heroes focused on the Nomu. Todoroki sent ice shards towards the Nomu, who dodged the attack, but was burnt by the fire which Todoroki had also sent at the same time. Clicking his tongue, he regenerated, though he was hit with and explosion, electricity, and a spear.
The number one hero along with a Pikachu and their class mum made their move. Iida kicked it on the head, while Kirishima punched his stomach. Mina released her acid, distracting the enemy, giving Mineta the time to use his quirk to keep him in place.
