Chapter 9

Morning came and when you woke up, you didn't see anyone beside you. Yet you could still feel the warmth at the other side of the bed and the faint smell of his shampoo. You sighed in relief, meant you didn't have to awkwardly greet him in the morning. Heck, you don't even know what should you said if you seeing his face at the moment you open your eyes. Trying shook away those thoughts that made your chest feeling weird, you stretched a bit before getting up "Gosh~ Can't I just sleep forever". It's been awhile since you had such a good sleep. You checked your phone as you saw the text from him, saying he is going for a meeting and leaving you enough money for food delivery on the table, if you want to leave you have to go with one of his men downstairs. Yawning, you start your day eating those energy bars and back cleaning the other side of your new home. You're glad that it's your day off for both your work and your class. There is nothing much to do as you already cleaned most of it yesterday. You looked at the clock on the wall as it's almost lunch time. Went to get the money, your eyes widened at how much it is. "W-what kind of food he thought I'm going to eat... ", you count the money, it's all ¥20,000. You fall silent for a moment, "L-let's buy some groceries then..". Getting ready to head out, you actually feel quite anxious for both carrying that much money in your wallet and this is first time you will start your day as his girlfriend. Went to the ground floor, most of all the men are all scary looking people. Your eyes looked around and found the same guy that drove you yesterday. You asked him as polite as you could be, and it turned out the guy is pretty nice and not as scary as you thought. He even helps you carry all the groceries and the cooking utensils back upstairs. With that much money, you have all the necessary things to cook of course from all the discounts you've been hunted down. Hunting down sales and discount has became one of your skills surviving this hellish and harsh world. You texted koko what time he might be back and to your surprise, he did replied quite fast,' he said he will be back around 1 oclock. That is enough to make lunch then...', You thought to yourself as you just make something simple since you are unsure what foods he likes.

You heard the door open while you were still cooking. The smell of the foods sure all over the place, made him furrowed his brows since he know, he got nothing in his kitchen."Y/n?" you could hear his voice as you peeked your head from the kitchen, that is not far from the hallway front door, "Yes?Ah, welcome back. Sorry, I was making lunch. Oh Inupi-san, welcome back too. Ah! Why are you wearing your shoes inside?! Take them off!! I just cleaned the floor. Please wait a bit, I'm almost done cooking.". Both of them froze when they heard you say that. They're amazed how you could just adjust yourself so fast and make yourself feel like it's your home already. There are now even some house slippers for them to wears. "A-ah yea.. Sorry.." Koko responded as he was still a bit surprised and flustered with all the changes to his apartment, yet there both of them took off their shoes and put them away near the front door. "Which one mine?", koko stare at the slippers as Inupi just point to the red one with an embroider of maneki neko, "That one? I'll take this...one? Is this a frog? A lizard?Why they all have weird embroider??". Decided to just brushed off and put the slippers on, they both still dumbfounded but decided to go along with the new house rules. "Koko.. We already ate lunch.." Inupi whispered to him. "Could you say no to her then?" Koko glanced at him as Inupi that fall silent, when saw how happy you are cooking and even set the table ready. They didn't know why they even ended up just going along with you, somehow the vibe you are having made them forget who they are actually are. Two people that could pluck away someone's life with ease, sit there watching you serving them lunch. "I'm unsure what you two like.. I hope you two like it. Tell me if it lacks something " you gave them a weak nervous smile. It's really simple, some karaage chicken, rice, miso soup, shogayaki, and tsukemono. It's home dishes and both of them just stare at it. How long it's been for them since they ate the homemade dishes that warmly served. You sit there feeling nervous, especially when they start to eat. You watched them trying everything you made. Minutes passed as Inupi looked at you "Second..". Your face brightened as you put down your chopstick and took his bowl, getting him more rice. Saw you gone, koko looked at Inupi "I thought you HAD lunch and don't want to eat.". Inupi just glared at him as Koko chuckled while back eating, know his friend clearly didn't like it when someone mentioning things he tried to hide, "Let's keep her then~ She is useful after all". They thought they wouldn't be able to finish the lunch you made since they already ate something before, but it seems their mind and body missed having home cooked foods. You couldn't help but end up smiled at the sight how everything are all cleaned, the way they ate your foods and finished them, somehow made your heart feel quite content. Seems you miss the feelings not eating all alone.

It's been four months since you've been living with him. You looked at the scale in horror. You gained weight. How could you not? You eat regularly, he told you to quit your part time job and as he promised, you got pocket money almost as much as your part time salary. Sometimes you did a basic cleaning, but lately Koko keep calling a cleaning lady. This made you only left in charge of cooking and doing some groceries. Even going to your university, someone would drive you so you didn't have to walk to the train station anymore. Point, you haven't moved your body much. You sulked as you stared at the scale. You looked at the mirror, you did gain weight. Not much actually, but you feel you are fat. Just girl being girl after all, a small ounce meant a lot. Walking out the room, he saw how you were sulking and seemed down yet he was just watching you from the couch with Sanzu, Ran, and Rin. You just went past them and just straight watering the plant. Everyone knows you already pretty much and you are on good terms with them after they've come over multiple times. "You haven't told her?" Rin watching you as Koko just shook his head. "I'm telling her-" Sanzu about to get up as Ran grabs his arm, pulling him back to sit. "Until when do you plan to let her water that thing?" Rin sighed as Koko just smirked without answering. The door opened as Inupi walked in and saw you watering the plant. "Why are you watering it, y/n?", he walked to you. "Ah Inupi.. Welcome home..", you smiled at him warmly. He is around too much, you start to greet him like this is his home too. "Well, Koko said if I keep watering it, the flower will bloom soon. " you chirped as you looked back at the plant in that small pot Koko gave you a month ago. Inupi looked at the group of men that were clearly trying to hold their laughs. Inupi silent for a moment before just patting your head "Do your best, y/n..". You blinked while looking up at him with innocent looks and thanked him for the support as you watched him go joining the rest of the group.
