(Update: Adam, Nathan, Emily are in freshman year. They are all great at soccer)
It was Thursday and we had had practice Monday and yesterday. We had a meeting today and out first game was tomorrow. I hope he will announce which team we are on because according to Adam, he hasn't said anything to anyone about it yet.

The Meeting:
"Alright. 12 of you made Varsity, the rest JV! I will read the names of varsity first and the rest of you can figure it out or see me after this." I was so nervous. We had two goalies, me and the other guy. But what if someone else was goalie, that I didn't know about.
"Nathan, Will, Josh, Adam............ And lastly," oh god help it be me. (That last part made no sense but oh well)
"Emily."
I was frozen. I made Varsity.
"Practice is at 4:30 game at 6. See you there and the JV kids need to follow me." With that he left and the others followed. He gave Nathan a piece of paper on his way out. He began to read it over and finally announced,
"We need to have a team meeting, come up with a game plan for tomorrow, decide on a two captains," he kept listing everything off and I just got caught in his voice. Oh, it was... STOP. NO BOYS EMILY. We were just about to decide captains.
"Alright, raise your hand for Adam." 1 person. Ha loser.
"Will." 3 votes.
"Josh." 7 votes.
"Myself." Of course he nominated himself. 9 votes.
"Any other volunteers?" My hand shot up.
"Okay, Emily." 7 votes. Wow. I was shocked.
"I am captain! Josh and Emily tied for second. We need a tiebreaker. Any suggestions guys?" Nathan exclaimed and asked.
One particular one stood out to everyone. "A conditioning course. Animals!"
Animals is the hardest conditioning drills for athletes. It is meant for flexible people, not people who kick goals. Anyways, that was our chosen 'punishment'. We went out to the turf field. The exercise was, in order:
Inchworm for 20 yards
Bear crawl for 10
Inchworms for another 30 and then sprint the last 40. (Sorry I kind of forgot the drills that I do so I just wrote that.) First one to finish was captain.
