"poor iris...she tired herself out badly..." Sans thought as he opened the door to the house.

Sans set Iris down on the couch and sadly sighed. Sans heard Papyrus walk down the stairs and turned his head towards his brother.

"Brother...why are you up so early? It's 4 am..." Papyrus tiredly questioned.

"i had to get our sister from undyne's place," Sans whispered.

"Our sister is here?" Papyrus perked up.

"yea, she tired herself out protecting me from undyne's wrath. we need to let her rest," Sans said, setting a hand on a couch arm.

"Well, when she wakes up, we should give her the pendant we found. She'll love it." Papyrus smiled, even if Sans couldn't see.

Sans nodded and headed upstairs to go back to bed. Papyrus went back to bed. At 6 am, Iris came to her senses and realized she wasn't in Undyne's place anymore. Iris looked around and saw a rock covered in sprinkles, a dirty sock, and a small television. She sat up and looked at her hands. She sighed when she saw that she was still a skeleton. Iris got up and walked to the kitchen, looking for something small to eat.

"Sister! You're up!" Papyrus exclaimed behind Iris.

Iris jumped and summoned her version of a Gaster Blaster. She looked at Papyrus and sighed a breath of relief. She made the Gaster Blaster smaller and set it on her shoulder.

"You scared me, Papy," Iris chuckled.

"Oh, sorry. I have a gift for you," Papyrus said, holding out a small box.

Iris giggled and carefully grabbed the box from Papyrus. She opened the box and tears started to form in her eyes.

"Pa-Papy, this is my old locket. How did you find it?"

"I don't know. Sans found it. You should ask him," Papyrus shrugged.

"ask me about what?" Sans appeared behind his brother.

"Where did you find this, Sans?" Iris asked again, her voice quivering.

"i found it in the snow. why?"

"This is the locket the Royal Family gave me..." Iris whispered as she put it on.

"you told us that once. i found your locket.." Sans seemed shocked.

"Doesn't that consider her a princess, brother?" Papyrus questioned.

Sans quickly nodded and bowed. Papyrus bowed to Iris as well. Iris smiled softly.

"How is the family, anyway?" Iris asked.

"asriel and chara are dead. asgore and toriel are no longer together," Sans said sadly.

Iris must've looked sad and upset because her eyes turned to a brown and blue color. Tears fell down her face as she sat on the ground. Iris shook as thoughts of her family ran through her head. Asriel's smile...Chara's laugh...Toriel's kind smile...Asgore's hug...everything she did with them ran through her head. She opened the locket and the soft melody played as she looked at the picture of once happy family.

"sis, are you okay? you seem upset," Sans gently said.

"M-my family's not a fa-family anymore...." Iris mumbled

"We have to do something, brother. This news...it hurt our sister," Papyrus quietly said.

"let me try something," Sans mumbled.

Sans got a small vile out from his pocket. He rolled it to Iris. She picked it up and looked at it.

"drink it. i got it from an au version of myself," Sans explained.

Iris shrugged softly and opened the vial. She put it up to her mouth and drank the liquid that was in the vile. Iris now looked at Sans and smiled.

"Whatever it was, it worked. Could you get more just in case?" Iris asked.

"i'll see if i can contact him with the help of alphys. but for now, your happy? no sadness?" Sans questioned.

"Nope, no sadness. But I do want to see where I am," Iris said, getting up.

Iris walked to the nearest window and looked outside and the past rushed to her. The snow reminded of her the day she couldn't see her family anymore...the day where Gaster had led her to the Lab...but she passed out...

"Gaster..." Iris whispered before passing out and crashing to the floor.

Sans rushed to Iris and picked her up. "sis! wake up!"

"we have to get her to alphys, paps. before this gets any worse," Sans said in a low tone.

Papyrus and Sans, who carried Iris in his arms, teleported to Alphys's lab.
