Rewrite: The Lost Kingdom

Birth...

The silence of the dark night was cut by the loud cry of a soul that had yet to experience the world. Taking his first breathes ever, the small child broke into cries, bringing joy with his voice to both his parents who have been awaiting his arrival to their world.

The nurse opened the door of the room after the woman had fixed herself up and held her son in her hands, rocking him slightly to hush him.

The man who was walking back and forth the hallway stopped and looked at the eyes of the nurse. The woman broke into a sweet smile.

" Congrats, it's a boy, he and the mother both are in a good health."

Relief washed over him before he quickly rushed past the nurse and to his wife who smiled softly when she spotted him by her side.

" Finally he is here, our long awaited child."

The man gently brushed away the few strokes of white and blond hair. Red eyes stared back at his green ones before the child started laughing finally.

" How tiny and cute. I can't believe I once was like that."

He chuckled before looking back at his wife's red eyes.

" Meeting this little guy made me more determined on giving him a future where he can be safe, just like our parents did for us."

The woman nodded at that.

" Let's do whatever we can to keep him safe."...

Far away...

  The ten years old girl kneeled down on the ground, holding her hands together as if praying and her eyes were closed. Her light blue hair was slightly hanging past her shoulder.

Her eyes suddenly snapped open when she had a vision and she looked stunned.

" What have you seen, Fran?"

A man in long white and black robs walked over to her.

Fran: " I saw... Someone shining and spreading warmth everywhere. And he saved us, he sacrificed himself to save our Kingdom."

" Pretty sure you saw our long awaited king, Fran. The same as all of those who preceded you."

Fran: " no, something is different this time... It felt like, I was looking at him, with my own eyes... Not like the usual projected pictures I get... I don't know if I'm making sense?"

The man's eyes widened for a second but he eventually smirked.

" Interesting. So you say you were involved in this vision? Maybe that means that there is no long time left before it happens..."

The male rose his head up, and through the surface of the dome of water, he was able to see a long thin body covered in scales laying down on a rock near the small city.

" He will be the one to wake Hydra up and bring us back where we belong. He is to be crowned the king."

Fran looked at the creature that had been in a deep slumber for as long as she remember.

Fran: " our king... I'm waiting for the day he will come to save us."...
