Rewrite: The Lost Kingdom

Vision...

His eyelids shook slightly before his eyes opened. It was fuzzy at the start but he manged to take notice of the people by his side. A brunette and a blond were peeking down at him.

Jin: " Elie... Kousuke..."

The brunette had her eyes covered in tears, but also had a wide relieved smile on her face.

The blond merely groaned.

Kousuke: " you can do your wife here a favor and stop making her cry. Or do you want to be haunted by her brother that badly?"

Elie: " you idiot! What were you thinking?! The enhanced mode and a judgement attack! Together! Do you know how much you've drained yourself!"

The woman had both her hands on his chest, they were glowing in pink as she poured from her life energy into him.

Kousuke: " well then, I should go spear the other two as well before they get themselves killed off."

As he stood and walked away, Jin looked after him.

Jin: " why did you help?"

Kousuke stopped on his tracks then.

Jin: " you're no longer bound by a blood contract. You could have just left me die."

Kousuke: " even without a blood contract, that doesn't mean not to keep my word for him. At least to honor him."

He was about to walk again when Elie spoke this time.

Elie: " thanks, Kousuke... Really, thank you..."

She had a soft smile at that. The blond merely nodded before he tightened his grip around the hilt of his sword and rushing towards the battlefield.

Elie blinked when Jin's hand wrapped around hers, slightly taking it off.

Jin: " it's enough..."

Elie: " wait Jin! You're clearly still drained!"

Jin: " it's fine..."

He clutched her now wrinkled hand in his tightly.

Jin: " you've already used your life span as energy this far... It may be restored with rest but still, if you overuse your power, there is no reversing it... I don't want to lose you..."

Elie: " Jin..."

The tears gathering in her eyes finally streamed down as she bent on her husband, hugging him tightly.

Elie: " I don't want to lose you too... I don't want to lose anyone anymore..."...

Jennifer was pushed back at a certain point and Azure quickly got her mid air.

Jennifer: " damn you! Azure! Throw me at it!"

Azure: " it's useless I daresay."

Jennifer: " just do it!"

The dragon obliged as he gave the woman a boost in her rush forward. The woman brought her scythe up, aiming for a clean cut just like her father's, but it was in vain as the sea serpent blocked her. Locking its jaws on her scythe, it started thrusting her around while Jennifer wouldn't let go of the weapon.

When the monster let go of her, she was tossed almost a hundred meter up in the sky. As she was falling down, a man grabbed her, hauling her on his shoulder.

Jennifer: " Kousuke!"

Kousuke: " we already have one Kaidou down, we don't need more people pulling out of the fight so be careful."
