Elie served the blond a cup of tea which he accepted thankfully and took a sip of it.

Elie: " I was surprised to see you around here."

Kousuke: " of course I have the right to travel as well."

Gin: " may  I ask what the diplomatist of the Underworld doing on Porton?"

Kousuke: " I'm here for work. Some Soul Eaters have caused some troubles around Porton and I'm here to help out."

Gin: " there is Soul Eaters here in Porton as well?"

Kousuke: " oh come on, don't you tell me you thought Soul Eaters exist only in the four kingdoms."

Elie: " to think about it, Darnic was a half Soul Eater as well."

Kousuke: " of course, Soul Eaters exist all around the glob. They're just more in the four kingdoms because of the Underworld Enlil created to unit all of them."

Gin: " Unit?"

Kousuke pinched the bridge of his nose.

Kousuke: " you do really need to read your history. The whole four kingdoms didn't exist up until Enlil created their ground, creating the Underworld along with them so Soul Eaters and werewolves stop fighting over territories. Haven't you once questioned what was there before Enlil created the ground?"

Elie and Gin shook their heads.

Kousuke: " humans."

He rolled his eyes and sighed.

Kousuke: " the whole four kingdoms were scattered small islands up until Enlil united them when he created their ground. And when word spread about the Underworld. Vampires and Soul Eaters from over the world came to live there, having suffered enough on the surface or fighting for territories. Porton as well has Soul Eaters, most of them living deep in the mountain."

Elie: " it's my first time hearing what the four kingdoms were actually like before Enlil."

Gin: " hm, seems Soul Eaters have a vaster knowledge of history than us."

Kousuke: " yeah, of course. Figure a good way to spend your 1500 years long life. Soul Eaters back then have nothing better to kill time but to keep track of history from even the Era before the young gods."

Elie: " amazing!"

Kousuke: " anyway..."

He sniffed the air for a second before staring at the woman.

Kousuke: " I get that Yamano Ban's scent along with your husband and children. It's faint though. Is there something I need to know?"

Gin looked back at his mother then at the Soul Eater.

Gin : " since you've kept track of history you wouldn't be surprised by the word Atlantis..."...

The guards hurried through the corridors as they received the order to assist their teammates who were under attack. When the hallway was clear after they passed by, Hinako lipped down.

Hinako: " leaving me all by my own, this is not very thoughtful of you, King Yamano Ban!"

Hinako: " eh! Me! Move ahead on my own!"

She snapped, pointing her finger at herself with a wide eye. Ban merely nodded at her.

Ban: " Jennifer and I will head back to save them. So while we act as a decoy to attract the whole guards of the tower, you head ahead and save Hikaru."
