Schlatt was not a man for waiting.

He was not known the play with time or resources, and one thing he wasn't known for was waiting on people he loved.

He didn't always treat them the best, but sure, it hadn't been that bad. A few bruises only proved his love, how much he cared. It was always his way of doing things. The people always showed up someday, begging and crying for him or too defeated to leave.

So, why the hell hadn't Quackity come back yet?

It'd been a two weeks. A whole two weeks without him. His days were empty and his nights were even emptier. Why the hell hadn't he come back? He'd called Techno, he got him to search Tubbos house, the foolish child he was might've tried to hide his father. But he didn't.

So, that didn't work. He'd gotten the best man on his team to go look for Quackity, yet he couldn't find him. There was only one more place the man could be. He clearly wasn't coming out willingly, so Schlatt only found one way to get him.

"Burn the sign." Schlatt ordered, handing Karl some Flint and steel. Now, Schlatt wasn't a fool. He knew that if Karl did it—if he'd gotten caught Quackity would make the connection. If he didn't, Kinoko Kingdom might go up in flames.

"I'm sorry?" Karl asked, shoving the Flint and steel back at him. Schlatt scoffed.

"Burn the sign. The sign with The country name on it. Burn the fucking sign" Schlatt emphasized this with his hands, using big motions and loud words too get his point across. If something was destroyed, they'd give him what he wanted.

"Schlatt, please." Karl begged. Oh, the defiant man he was.

"I don't care how irrational this is. Kinoko kingdom doesn't care Karl, I do, you already agreed to this too. You can't back out."

Karl looked at him with glossed over eyes.

"I did?"  He asked, seemingly having a nerve struck. His memory wasn't the best, but god— he didn't know it'd get the man to cry. Whatever works, he assumed.

"You did, yeah. So you know how Flint and steel works?" Schlatt handed the Flint and steel back too Karl, who grabbed it with shaking hands.

"Of course I do"

Bright, red flames. They were beautiful, they danced uncontrollably and moved to a silent beat only they could understand. Quackity would've stood and admired them. That is, if they weren't threatening too consume the front of the country.

Waking up too smoke filling your lungs wasn't the best, and Quackity hated that this wasn't the first time he'd been woken up like this.

The flames weren't very close to them, so he had time. He'd just go too Wilbur's room and wake him up. That'd be it.

Navigating the house at a time like this was difficult for the younger but he managed. Falling on things he didn't know were on the ground and trying, really trying not too scare himself or stress himself out. It was a terrifying thing that he couldn't let himself be scared of.

Finally though, he finished the travel to Wilbur's room.

"Wilbur, wake up"  Quackity shoved his shoulder and hit him, this was urgent. He couldn't just sleep this one away.

"Wilbur, come on this is serious. Wilbur, please" Quackity was trying too calm himself down. He really was, but he needed too wake up. If they died, or if someone here died. Well, it'd be all his fault.
