Chapter 13- Bornday Date

I'm already preparing for my birthday, and my mom wants something grand because my dad just came from overseas.

"Mom, I already told you. I just wanted a simple party. Let's just dine out somewhere" I told her while we're eating dinner.

"Ilang buwan na nga uli kayo ni aidan?" dad asked I don't need to count in my head, because I'm aware that "two months, dad" I told him and eat quietly.

It has been two months, it was quick. Since we're both busy with to achieve our dreams. Pareho rin pala kaming graduating. I'll graduate college, and he'll graduate in a law school. We're seeing each other for almost everyday, palagi niya akong sinusndo at hinahatid even in a busy schedule he have.

"It's your first time, and yet umabot na kayo ng dalawang buwan. With that attorney?" he said sarcastically.

I can already feel that he's against the relationship I have with Aidan.

"So what are his plans on your birthday?" He asked, which made me think... does he has a plans for me? "A greeting will do" I just told dad and eat silently.

If my mom was not against with my relationship with Aidan, but my dad is. I mean, it was the idea of mom to set up a blind date with some stranger.

"Don't worry about my grades, I'm a consistent dean's lister" I told daddy and gave him a short smile.

"And, I'll be competing for our school on the early september" I told him. It wasn't really my decision but it was the school. They see how good I am at cooking, kaya ako ang ipaglalaban nila.

"Make sure you'll get the first place" my dad said before he wiped his lips using tissue and went out somewhere.

I took a deep breathe and smiled at our house maids. I went to my room with a heavy heart, and dialed eisen's number.

After the fourth ring she finally answered while I'm walking back and forth "Anong chismis?" agad niyang bungad

"I feel like my dad will do something" I told her and finally sit on the edge of my bed.

"Like?" She said on the other line. She also cursed na tapos yata ang tubig niya dahil nag pipinta siya ngayon.

"Punyemas, ang mahal ng carpet" She told me. I gave her the time to fixed her mess first before I rant things over her.

I did rant over her for almost two hours already.

"Ay sayang nasa cavite ka pala ngayon" She told me, she would probably go to my condo unit if I'm on manila.

"It sucks" I told her and lay down on my bed. "Club nalang tayo sa birthday mo" Eisen suggested.

"Isang taon na yata akong hinid nakakapag club" she said on the other line.

"Well you see, my parents wanted something grand. You know I'm not a debutant" I sighed.

"Then just have a dinner with your family tas kasama si Aidan, tapos club tayo sa weekend kasi diba weekdays yung araw ng birthday mo" Eisen said.

"We'll see" I said hopelessly My phone vibrated so I take a look on my phone and yeah... Aidan's calling me.

"Got to go, my boyfriend's calling me" I told her and ended our call, then asnwered Aida'ns called.

"Hi sweetheart" His soothing voice said. Hearing his voice felt like I'm already full charge. I felt like I'm not tired anymore.

"Hey" I told him and take a deep breathe

"What's wrong?" He asked me as I shook my head, kahit hindi naman niya ako makikita.

"Nothing" I told him and smiled, from a heavy heart I have from earlier. Gumaan na siya, is this what they call the power of love?
