Chapter 3: Hunting Time

After mom went to bed i got ready for the hunt which meant good bye dress hello pants and my bow and of coarse like always my red cape that grandma made me. I jumped from my window, it wasn't far I've done it before. I went into the wood sent my traps and waited for about 45 minutes when i heard something then I see 3 wolfs. I'm shocked there more then one there like 5 all going after that one poor goat oh well it was going to die soon anyways. I'm shocked now there not just one to hunt but 5 even if one attacked me that night we don't want another attack on anyone. I hear one talking "Split up and meet back at the cave." says the one with grey hair. i notice the one next to him has big brown eyes like peter but also the wolf that attacked me. When they start leaving I follow the big brown eyes one. I was stalking my prey then it stop and was sniffing the air it new i was close it turned around and looked at me i shot my arrow and it hit him in the shoulder. but that didn't stop him i pushed me down. I was on the floor with his paws on my shoulder it breathe in my face but what it did next surprised me it talked "Get away now before they find you." then got off of me i grab my bow and got up "RUN!" it said when i heard the others coming and that what i did. I ran til i got home and i got dressed and went to bed but couldn't fall asleep. My mind was running a mile per minute, what will I do? i need to find out more about this maybe the wolfs are out there every night. before i knew it morning came and i heard mother was up so i went down and said good morning. When I was going to leave to check the library when mom stop and said "Ivy we need to talk." " About what?" i ask " Marriage." she say i think that scared me more then the wolf.
