THERE WAS SO much blood everywhere.

And it wasn't just hers that stained the brown wooden floors.

It was Stephen's as well.

Electrifying pain coursed through the sorceress, contorting her body. It radiated through her shoulder and she couldn't move her arm without feeling a searing pain cover her entire body. Yet, despite all of this, she refused to mind her wound and instead held her hand to Stephen's injury, but no matter the pressure she applied, the blood had still gushed between her fingers and oozed under her hand. It had spread into Stephen's blue robes, the bright red quickly darkening, taking on a brownish hue. Glancing at their approaching enemy, she wrapped her arm around Stephen's waist and shoulder, half-carrying him. The couple stumbled into one of the hallways, desperately getting away from Lucian who was hell-bent on ending their lives.

"Cassie, you have to -- " Stephen grimaced, trembling. "go now..."

Cassandra shook her head, dragging him with her. Stephen had no idea that no matter what, she cannot leave him. She cannot abandon him to because he was her first priority and will always be. "No, we're getting out of here together, Stephen. Just -- " she then coughed, her eyes fluttering close for her body started to slow down. The woman knew the weapon they were stabbed with had a poison that will slowly paralyze them and stop their hearts from beating. She hissed, breathing through her mouth.

"Cassie..."

"I'm fine, let's go." Cassandra brushed him off. Gathering her remaining strength, she pushed herself up, but Stephen could no longer carry on. He fell on his knees and the brunette tugged his arm to pull him up. "Get up, Stephen! Get up! We're not going to die here! We're not going to die like this!"

As Lucian sauntered over to finish them both off, Cassandra raised her hand to invoke a shield when suddenly, the red cloak wrapped itself around the incoming threat, slamming him to the ground and wall with such brute force. The young woman released a sigh of relief. The thought that the cloak will do everything to protect its master, Stephen, just like her, eased her.

It didn't last long though.

For emerging from the end of the hallway was a blonde haired Zealot, her eyes murderous as she held a shimmering Space shard in her hand. It was Nora, one of her former students who she knew had some grudge with her. That was when she heard a sizzle of energy behind her and there was Stephen, his hands stretched out to form a portal. It opened to a mop closet and her companion turned his head toward her. "Come on, let's go." he said, weakly.
