I shouldn't have laughed but I did. Confusion clouded everyone's faces, whilst looking at me as if I was alien.
I put my hand to my mouth,"I'm so sorry.""Perfectly fine Miss Romanoff, this way please."
Where we went next was a debriefing room of some sorts. Well that's what I thought it looked like, considering all the reality cop shows I watched. It was difficult to shake off the hard stares of the employees, I couldn't blame them I guess. I was as shocked and amazed as they were.
"Mr. And Miss Romanoff, sit." Agent Kings gestures towards the seats. "From this moment on you will no longer be referred to as Mr or Miss Halo, you will use your real name." I shifted uncomfortably in my chair as the other agent eyed my brother and I.
"You will also be referred to by your real first names if necessary, any remnants of your old life must be left behind, from this point on. I understand that this will be difficult to do so, but it must be done." Agent Kings continued
"I have a question." I stated raising my hand up high. Agent Kings sighed "Yes, Miss Romanoff?"
"Why is Agent Creeper just starring at my brother and I as if we're some type of exhibit?" My brother chuckled beside me. I looked at Agent Creeper who began to blush and look towards the ground. "My apologies Miss Romanoff, I didn't mean to stare."
"That is Agent Santos, Miss Romanoff not Agent Creeper."
"If shoe fits." I muttered under my breath.
"Anyways, as I was saying. Your old life will soon be replaced with one of a royal as soon as everything is safe."
"A royal?" I snorted
"Is there an issue Miss Romanoff?"
"Stop calling me that-" I was becoming a bit irritated "Do I look like a royal to you? I mean look at me!" I exclaimed gesturing towards my poor attire
"Sis, just calm down. It's just a lot to take in I get it."
"No-" I pointed a slim finger in his direction "You had way longer than me to 'digest' this situation"
"Miss- Alexandria, it'd be in everyone's best interest of you'd calm down." Agent Kings explained. Several seconds passed in silence before Agent Jerk-öff began to speak again. "Now would both of you please follow Agent Santos?"
Walking out of the room I could faintly hear Agent Jerk-öff mumble "Worse than her mother." Along with a thick chuckle.
I guess that was the real question. Who was my mother? My father?
Before I could process I was pulled into a little hallway with a hand placed over my mouth. Agent Santos and my brother hadn't noticed I was gone...yet. I wanted to scream, and prepared myself for the action before being shushed. How dare they?
"Jeez princess, you're a slow responder." A husky voice filled my ears making my heart flutter
But instead of falling into my emotions I turned around abruptly whisper yelling, "Are you insane!?"
