"Yes, please explain why you have these!" I yelled as i pointed to the envelope and picture
He began stumbling over his words " It's- I- "
"Wow for once you have nothing to say" i said rolling my eyes
"It's more complicated than it seems."
"Then please explain it to me." If i was a cartoon character smoke would be coming out of my ears, and I'd be shaking in the air.
He walked more into the room and grabbed the photo. "Ryder was an amazing person. He always knew how to lighten up the mood." A slight smile played on his lips
My anger started to fall remembering how Ryder could do that.
"This is really hard to explain, you just won't understand." He thought out loud
"No it's not, you just won't tell me." Whilst rolling my eyes
"I know your brother and we were very good friends. End of story."
"Bullshit." I sneered
Putting the photo down he just looked at me, with an warning look. I don't care, he keeps feeding me lies. This is the one thing where I just want the truth. Is that hard to freaking understand?
An angry sigh escaped my lips, this was all bullshit.
"I think you should probably take a shower.."
I looked down at myself examining my clothing. Still the same stuff I was kidnapped in, I can't imagine what my hair looked like let alone my little make up. Wow, I must look disgusting.
"Where's the bathroom? And do you have clothes or something I can change into?"
He walked out of the room, only to come back a few minutes later with my gym bag. "Here it has your gym clothes but I think your makeup shit is in there too."
"The bathroom is right there." A long finger pointed to the door next to his dresser
I walked in the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. Looking in the mirror I flinched at my appearance. I was never the type to care about this, but I've never looked this bad. My straight hair had balls of frizz everywhere, while there was dirt on my skin.
Taking a shower was one soothing thing I hadn't had in the last several days. I don't know how long I was in there for but it felt like I never wanted to leave. My head shot up once I heard two voices near the door.
"Where is she?" An unknown voice asked
"In the shower." Austin
"Good, buys us sometime to talk." Several seconds pasted before the same voice continued "You caused quite the scene at the high school Austin."
"You told me to do whatever it takes."
"I meant in a civil manner." Said a stern voice
"Oops." The smirk could practically be heard in Austin's words
I shut off the water getting out of the shower, drying off and changing. Slowly the voices began to hush.
"Thanks to you it's going to be one hell of a job covering that up."
"This is why it's a good thing you work for the government." Austin said in a DUH time
"It's not always easy, just keep the girl safe. People are looking for her now that her photo is all over the news."
"What kind of people."
"The kind of people that figured out the truth."
What. The. Hell.
