I finished getting ready just in time to hear the front door slam.
Walking out of the bathroom I was hit with the faint smell of bacon.

I love bacon.

I rushed to Austin's bedroom door, praying it wouldn't be locked. When it wasn't, relief washed over me as I rushed to the kitchen.

Austin was cooking, his back muscles tensing as he made movement.

"I thought I told you to stay in the room." he stated back still turned to me

"I was hungry."

"Well, I hope you like bacon and eggs"

You have no idea

"Yeah, sure" I shrugged. As I sat down on the bar stool,in front of the island, a certain question came back into my mind.

"Who was here earlier?" I asked

Austin's body stiffened. He moved the, now cooked, bacon onto the paper plate beside the stove. Turning to me his green eyes pierced mine.

"That's really none of your business."

"Well I'm just curious."

"You know curiosity did kill the cat."

I held his gaze. " I think I have the right to know."

"And what makes you think that?" He questioned

I fiddled with my thoughts. He watched as I struggled for answer to pop into my mind.

"Exactly what I thought." He said triumphantly, arms crossed.

He turned back grabbing a plate of bacon and eggs, handing it to me when he was done putting everything together. I looked down at the food. It looked good, and sure as hell smelt good. My mouth watered just at the sight of good food and begged me to put it in my mouth.
I took a bite of the bacon, moaning in the process. Oh bacon, how I've missed you.

"Well if that's the answer to get you to do those sounds, you can have it all." He smirked gesturing to the remaining bacon

"Shut up." I grumbled

Austin, leaned on the counter in front of the island and just watched me. A little creepy may i add. It was a puzzled expression on his face, that made me feel self conscious.

"Why would they want you so bad?" i assumed the question was supposed to be kept to himself

Stalking his way across the kitchen into the living room, he grabbed the remote handing it to me. "Here."

I looked down at the remote then back up at him. His face made me think if certain people were just born hot?! Because if so I clearly missed my ticket onto the Hot Baby Train.

"Hell-o?" his hand waved in my face "Want to watch TV or not?" Once i grabbed the remote he continued talking "I'll be back, just don't try anything funny." the sternness in his voice was clear.

As he walked away, i turned around in my chair turning on the TV. The news channel was the first thing that popped up. Making me wonder if I was on the news, and what was being said.

Breaking News: Lacey Halo case changed

I sipped on my drink, anxiously waiting to see what's happening next.

"Well Folks, Miss Halo was found early this morning after being missing for almost two days!" "Lacey, please tell me how does it feel to be back with your family?"

That's when the shattering sound of my glass hitting the floor and my screams could be heard. The camera switched to a girl that looked like she could be my twin.

Austin came running into the kitchen, seeing my stunned reaction, turned to the TV.

" Well, it feels great to be back with my family and friends again. I'm shaken up, but I can say I'm blessed. I really thought things were going to go very wrong."

My lip quivered as my thoughts rattled in my mind. How could this be happening, I was at a complete loss of words. Completely confused and horrified at the situation. I had to breathe, which was something I couldn't do at the moment . I stood up of my chair.

"We're so happy that our daughter is safe and sound. losing another child of ours, it would have been completely devestating."

My head was spinning, and it was difficult to stand up straight. None of this could actually be real, this is just all some kind of sick dream.

Austin looked back at me with arms crossed. " Well, didn't think they would go this far."

The last thing i remember was seeing that girl and my parents looking as happy as ever.
