Klaus opened his eyes, his body felt heavier, normal, non ethereal as it had not done in the void when he was watching over Hope and his family.
His sense of smell was working, he could smell his little wolf's scent, he could feel a weight against his shoulder and side, shifting his eyes to the right and down. Hayley was slumped against him, breathing but eyes were closed. Sleeping? Unconscious? Klaus was undecided for the moment.
He checked her over intensely. Beautiful, still so beautiful. The high cheekbones, those lush full lips. Her hair, long again, very long, half way down her back. Klaus had always liked her long silky wavy hair. But her eyes were still closed so he couldn't look into those expressive hazel eyes. Those eyes that could undo him anytime. Her chest was raising and expelling at a normal rate and her heartbeat steady, so he surmised that she was safe and well.
He could feel the strong magic in the wall they were up against, very powerful magic it hummed.
Shifting his eyes around the space. It was a large space. Wooden floor boards, high ceilings. In the space, there was a sofa, a single large occasional chair, a large bookcase full of books of modern and old literature. To the left was a kitchen set slightly back from the large room. Basic fridge, oven, small round table and two chairs. To the left a floor to ceiling length window that took up one side of the room.
Looking out he could see a large expanse of grass from his seated position, a cliff edge. He could see the ocean, a large expanse of sea.
To the right of the sea was forest. Trees that stood tall and had an ancient feel to them. At least five hundred years old from their height, to the far left just open grassed space.
Bringing his gaze back inside the room, an open door on the opposite end of where they were seated, a bedroom a large bed, that's all he could discern from this seated position. Walls blank, no decoration of any kind, airy but functional.
Hayley opened her eyes shifted slightly, she could feel weight and warmth at her side, turning her head she looked in blue green eyes. She inhaled sharply.
"Klaus,....where are we? this is not the afterlife and I feel real, you feel real, everything smells real," She breathed out.
Klaus smirked, "Hello to you too little wolf, I'm well thank you, It's good to see you again too."
Hayley smiled, "Hi Klaus it's nice to see you again, where are we?" she asked again.
Klaus stood and walked over to the picture window looking out.
"We seem to be on an Island with sea on one side, perhaps all around us by the sound, in a highly spelled small house in the real world or at least not in the void for me, or the afterlife for you."
Hayley had joined him at the window looking out, it was beautiful and very still, you could hear the sound of the ocean, the faint breeze flowing through leaves of the forest, no animal sounds or any other sounds as though they were the only two people here.
