Chapter 39: Something feels off

Ian's Pov

I know. I know something feels definitely off.

I'm not sure though but that's what I feel. I don't even know why. Hmmm...

I stared at Chris and Hermalia from a distance. They were talking and laughing. I'm supposed to feel relieved now too since we found her and Amethyst but....

It's weird. Something seems wrong.

"Oyy ang daya ni April at nung ibang students. Like, wtf?! Umuwi agad sila since ang boring daw dito pero ang idinahilan nila sa teachers ay they're not feeling well at may mga emergencies sa bahay" rinig kong sabi ng isang babae na dumaan sa likod ko.

Napatingin naman ako sa aking kanan nang tumayo doon si Akhaya habang nakatingin kina Hermalia.

"Are you missing your girlfriend?" I asked him. 

He did not respond and just continued to stare at our friends. 

I sighed. 

"No. It's just that---- nevermind" he said and then he left.

Hmm what was he saying?

I just shook my head a little and stared again at Hermalia. "Weird indeed"

Amethyst's Pov

We're currently eating lunch now and kasabay ko sila Avie kumain ngayon. We're just on the same table and I really don't care kung ang sasama ng mga tingin sa akin ng kaibigan ni Avie. 

Well, Avie agreed when I asked if I could sit here with them.

Habang kumakain ay hindi ko maiwasan na hindi mapatingin kina Avie at Chris. 

Usually kay Chris baby lang ako tumitingin but right now? I don't know. I just find something weird and yet I don't know what it is.

I think there's something about Avie.

Wala naman siyang ibang ginagawa na iba kundi ang makipagkulitan kay Chris. Sinusubuan niya pa nga siya ngayon. Ugh! They're too sweet! I hate it!

Pero parang may kakaiba talaga.

"Uhm Avie? Are you okay?" I asked her and that made everyone here on this table look at me.

Avie raised one of her brows. "Yeah? Why? Is there a problem?" she asked.

I shook my head. "Uh, wala naman. Nevermind"

She just smiled at me and continued eating.

Pero hindi talaga ako mapakali! "Are you sure you're alright Avie?" I once again asked.

"Oo nga. Ang kulit" She said, smiling.

"Okay then"

"Good evening students!" Lahat naman kami napatingin sa aming guro na biglang nagsalita. "For tonight, you are free to be with all of your friends. We will all be outside, with of course, your own place and campfire. Bale maraming campfire kaming mga guro na makikita dito since iba iba ang grupo niyo. Feel free to have your chats and stories. Tonight, is bonding and relaxation time with friends. Thank you"

Agad na napatakip ako ng tenga nang hindi ko kayanin ang ingay matapos mag-anunsiyo ang guro.

Lahat ay napahiyaw sa saya at tuwa. Ang iba ay nagpalakpakan pa at ang iba ay nakipag-apir pa sa mga kasama.

I rolled my eyes. 

Tch. Its just that. Ang babaw naman ng kasiyahan.

"Can I join you guys later?" I asked them. They all nodded.
