CHAPTER 8 : Two At a Time

Mikey's POV

The flash scene two hours ago where I was facing with Hanma came back, at that time I was about to attack him again, but my nerve got stuck in the middle when I caught a familiar (h/c) hair, even the yukata she wears today.

Then I saw her face, her always grumpy expression while breaking down one of our enemies.

My blood ran cold and at that time I didn't think to shout out her name, making Hanma in front of me look back where I was yelling at as he smirks, "Oh, one of your friends eh?"

For sure I got angrier and cannot seem to focus until I saw Chifuyu was beside her. I ordered him to bring the girl out of here, even Y/n can fights, it's different situation if it's about Toman.

I don't want her ever to get involve but I was not expecting her to join with unknown reason.

Thank relief when I continued to fought with Hanma, she's not there anymore, I trusted Chifuyu that he already taken her far away.

Later on, I excuse myself after heard Ken-chin's condition, I was calm when Hina called Y/n but it shocked me to death when she was covered in blood.

A sudden vision of my brother haunted me again, I remembered it so well on that day, my own friend who's the one that killed him. Seeing Y/n in front of me like that, made me scared.

What if she's going to be taken away too?

I haven't made her smile, she never even called my name yet.

My heart was a bit relief when she said she was not hurt but I don't know what's got into me because I slapped her. I was mad, sad, everything in one heart.

Unable to even said anything, I ran past all of them, hiding my broken face, I even hung low my head very deep when the others Toman look at me walking out of the building to the backyard.

Smiley almost notice but thankfully he let me go.

Until I find a quite place where there is no one around this late. Then I cried, let out all my burden in that one long sobs. If I really lose Ken-chin, I don't what am I going to do without him.

Were planning on to catch our dreams together and gonna make that happen, good thing that bastard is strong, never goes back with his own words.

I don't know how long was I crying, it felt like hours but reality only several minutes, until I realized someone stood in front of me. Don't want to anyone got pity on me, I look at the person and was about to stand but stopped that it was Y/n.

She's looking at me still with her dull (e/c) eyes.

"Cry baby."

That was the first word what Y/n said towards Mikey, he blinks his eyes as his tears continue to fell while the girl look at him with a deadpanned face.

She then sighs, while lowering down her face as him. It startled Mikey when he can feel her warm fingers on his skin, brushing off his tears gently.

"Didn't know people like you can easily cry too." She said again, this time with her upper lips moving slightly making a curve.

Mikey still look at her in silence, he then slowly stood up as well, his eyes never left the girl.

"I'm not good with words but what I'm trying to say is, we are all okay Mikey. You were startled because there is bloodstained on my yukata right?"
