Glad do see you again! It appears you've liked how everything played out so far, but there is more.

Today we will still be following Beleth and Rumion.

They're faced with a difficult decision; a choice is made.

How will their mortal friends take to the fact that the people they once thought they knew are two completely different beings?

To say Rumion was nervous was an understatement. Lucifer and Beleth stood by him, waiting, the later almost as anxious as his friend.
"Are you sure about this?", the Morningstar asked, the question going out to both the demon and the angel respectively.
Beleth, even though he seemed hesitant, nodded firmly.
"Your whole 'never breaking my promise' - spiel apparently rubbed off on me, and I promised those guys to answer all their questions."

All of them were, courtesy of Lucifers', still obscured to the human eye. They'd agreed on this method as a safety net, should either Rumion or the present Lilim change their mind.
It also should be noted that the younger of the two Celestials was still wearing the traditional robes of the silver city - a white, straight gown with a high collar paired with a dark grey shawl that was hanging loosely over his shoulders, it's ends stopping shortly after the knees. The reason why was that he had refused to go back to his appartement beforehand so as to not give himself another opportunity to chicken out.
Rumion had to do this, and he knew it.
The angel took a deep breath, squaring his shoulders as he did so.
"Okay. I'm ready. Let's do this."
Lucifer, sure enough, seemed convinced.
"Pray to me if anything goes wrong.", he said, laying a reassuring hand on either his brothers' and his friends' shoulders. "Or just call. Don't do anything stupid."
Before Beleth could scoff the Devil had disappeared, making them percievable.

"I... hate it when he does that!"
Beleth agreed. He patted his smaller friend on the back, starting to make his way out of the alley next to the office building they all but disappeared out of only three weeks prior.
The (much) older of the odd pair scuttled to catch up to his friend, both exiting the alley simultaneously.
This was going to be interesting.

Vesper Lynnd was lost in thought.
As head of security it was her job to know exactly who did exactly what and exactly when they did it.
She was exceptionally good at her job; until she wasn't.
It all had changed on a day that shouldn't have been anything other than normal, exactly three weeks and two days ago.

From 4:27 am that morning, all security footage had been destroyed. Not by accident, but on purpose.
That alone was a big deal. However, it could be worse and dear God it was.
Not only were there 17 people, two of whom were her trusted security guards, that seemingly weren't able to talk about the happenstances of those faithful thirty minutes, no.
Two people were missing. Gone.
Upon questioning, all potential witnesses had said the same thing: "Family emergency".
Nothing more, nothing less. It was like pulling teeth.

The two missing people, Silas Piekło and Mason Hada, the hosts of Crimes, Cryptids and Co. also didn't leave any clues as to where it was they went.
All the things they had left behind - personal belongings like their phones, bags or even their keys - hadn't helped Vesper either.
She'd thought they'd had a clue as to their whereabouts when their landlords had called, separately, to inform her that both their rents had been paid.
On the morning it was due they had found an envelope each, both labeled "rent" with the correct sums inside.
She'd immediately had both of them sent to testing, only to have them come back devoid of any clues; no fingerprints, no DNA, nothing.
Vesper wanted to scream.

Now here she was, listening to Sandra eagerly chatting with Jamie, sipping watered down coffee, when the automatic entrance doors slid open.
