an unfortunate happenstance

And we meet for a third time. I'm glad we did, to be honest I even missed you a little.

Today is a little different, as we will still look at our boys, but from a different angle this time.

Or should I say, timeline?

It has come to my attention that there's quite a few of those, all differing more or less.

This is the one where a certain human finds out a lot earlier before intended by anyone.

If Silas, better known as Beleth in the Infernal and Celestial realms, was being honest; Ohio sucked.

Except for the location they had filmed at earlier the day, there was quite literally nothing else to do.
Oh yeah, excpet for his other job.
Better yet, their other job.
Rumion and him were, unbeknownst to their human coworkers, still quite busy with work after their shoot.
As "preparation" for said activity they currently were lunging in their shared motel room, nibbling on popsicles and trying to agree when and where to take the two lost souls they had located.

"I am telling you dude, I could smell the brimstone on her from like ten feet away!", Beleth argued while comfortably leisuring in an old worn armchair. Granted, it was probably the most modern piece of furniture in their entire room, though neither of them seemed to mind.

Meanwhile Rumion was sitting cross-legged on one of their beds, phone in one hand and his popsicle in the other.
If anyone had been watching from the outside, they'd see two men, seemingly in their thirties, possibly arguing about what to watch on the motels TV, generally just having a good time.
If not for two graphite horns spiraling upwards out of the white-eyed man's sandy hair and the two carmine wings firmly attached to the other mans back.

Rumion rolled his eyes, his wings puffing up slightly.
"Maybe, but I think his soul looked too... pure, you know, to go straight downstairs."

The demon, taking his friends words into consideration, sighed and took a bite from his popsicle.
"I mean, probably,", he said, chewing. "But like, I still smelled it. And what do you think could happen if a hellbound soul ascended into heaven?"
Rumion, for all that matter, didn't seem too convinced.
"I think we should consult with Rae Rae on this one. Seems like the best option."

Before Beleth could agree, the door to their room swung open, crashing into the wall right next to it.
"Did you know they have a pool table-"

The bottle of beer Shannon was holding slipped out of her grip. None of them batted an eye as it broke and scattered shards of glass mixed with lukewarm beer across the carpet.
Wide eyes surveyed the two obviously not human entities, taking in the new appendages she didn't know her friend's - or anyone for that matter - possessed.

Neither the demon nor the angel dared to say a word or even move, afraid of either making Shannon go insane or send her running for the hills, both of which were not mutually exclusive.
The popsicle in Rumions hand was starting to melt, the juices dripping onto the white linen sheets, staining them a reddish-pink color.
"I... how... what?!", the blonde finally managed to articulate while gesticulating wildly between the two men.
"Would you believe us if we said that we're really into cosplay?"

Shannon felt like she was about to have an aneurysm. Granted, she did look the part, given from Beleths and Rumions viewpoints.
"I absolutely fucking would not.", she exclaimed, walking over and plopping down in the remaining armchair.
The two men shared a worried look. She seemed rattled - as any normal human would be when faced with definitive proof of the Infernal and Divine - but at least she wasn't a screaming and writhing mass on the floor.
