Chapter 5

May went to several different stores looking for clothes she felt comfortable fighting in. When she was finished, they went back into her home and she showered and everything before getting dressed. She also cut her hair a bit shorter

"May. Hurry up. My old man isn't gonna sit here and wait while you try to look pretty. He probably might have already sent some of his demons to look for you!" He sighed as he sat on her bed and laid down waiting for her. He then took off his coat and looked at the ceiling

"Would you like anything master Dante?" Sebastian, May's butler, walked up to him and bowed

"Yeah. A strawberry sundae would be nice-"

Sebastian apparently had one prepared and handed it to him "here you are sir. I suspected that you would be a little like mistress May and if you were waiting, you might have wanted a strawberry sundae."

He took it "why are you still here?"

"Well.. I suppose I'm bound to mistress May and her family. This is my home. I used to be a demon, killing anything I saw, but mistress May found my talents would suit her and her family. I've been protecting them for years now. I won't leave her side unless she tells me to leave and find work elsewhere"

"Well then... seems like you will be without a mistress for a while" Dante smirked

"I'm already prepared for that master Dante. The master already told me about her destiny."

"Her father?" Dante looked at him then set the empty glass on her shelf

"Yes. He thought it was necessary to tell me so that I would be ready-" He looked at the clock on her wall "Oh! I'm terribly sorry master Dante, but I must leave now. I have something to attend to this evening" he bowed, taking the glass then left her room

Dante sat up then knocked on the bathroom door "May! Come on now. Hurry up in there!"

"Will you stop rushing me Dante!" she yelled at him as she opened the door with just a towel on and shorter hair

"Oh? What's this? Your still not ready?"

"O-Of course not! I was cutting my hair"

He leaned down and moved to her ear and whispers "you look better with short hair" he smirked

She blushed lightly "I-I'm just gonna get dressed" she walked into her closet and closed the door

"Alright then" he laid on her bed once more then closed his eyes, taking a nap while he waited

She sighed then she picked out the clothes she bought. She looked at her closet door then back to her clothes "Why... why must I like him? He looks like he is popular with girls" she gripped the hoodie "I wish I could ask mom about this.." she shook her head "no! I won't think about that idiot!" After a couple minutes she came out with a red hoodie, white sleeveless shirt that went down to above her belly button, black shorts with a white belt, brown gun holsters, black thigh height stockings and brown knee high boots. She grabbed her guns and put them in the holsters then grabbed her sword and put it over her shoulder since she didn't want to carry it. "take me to your shop Dante. I'll be working with you on jobs for any leads as to where Sparda is located..."

He was still asleep with his shoes on her bed and hands behind his head

"What the-" she sighed and walked towards him "Dante!"

He opened one eye and looked at her

"Did you hear what I said?" She folded her arms

"You want to go to my shop" he stood up, putting his coat back on "alright then. Let's go" he lead her to shop
